A couple minutes ago, as I went on my facebook to post a devotion, I came across a video my aunt just posted. It was about the Eagles team and the super bowl. It was inspirational and it made me happy to watch it because all of them gave the glory to God and love Jesus with their everything!
My heart sang for joy but then, in a second, conviction came and sorrow. Confused yet? Let me rewind this to yesterday:
So, first thing first, I am not a sport's fan (unless it is martial arts or I am playing in the sport), so I really have no knowledge about sports or teams or players. With things like people getting hyped over the super bowl or vice versa (it could even be people fangirling over the new phones) I get skeptic and judgemental. Anyways...yesterday I was with my grandma and my uncle and the news came on showing the parade of the eagles with the trophy.
Me, being a dark sense of humor type of girl, heard that it was their first win in 15 years so I said to my uncle "Wait another 15 years." and I laughed. This was before I found out they were Christians (which I found out a couple minutes ago.)
I'm not too sure if it sounds like a big or small thing to your all but it's a pretty big thing to me. I've sinned by making fun and judging my fellow siblings in Christ. That is a big thing and it is hitting my heart right now that I would do this. I needed to confess that and please learn from my mistake people:
Do not judge people even if they are famous. . .do not say anything bad about others. Forgive me because I may sound like a hypocrite but please, please learn from my mistake. Even though I didn't know, I am still in the wrong because God doesn't want us to judge others and He doesn't want us to make fun of others or each other.
I confessed this to God and asked for forgiveness but I know I needed to confess it to my other siblings, you guys.
Learn from this because I know I sure have.
