Chapter 6

Darkheart watched in ambition and happiness as he watched his rogues fight and tear through dens.

We will win this battle!

After a few heartbeats he joined the battle. He ran straight for Snowstar's den, where he was sitting in his nest.

"Now it is time for you to die!" Darkheart muttered.

He pounced on Snowstar and clawed at his belly.

Just before he could bite at his throat Darkheart felt another cat land on him.

"Stay off Snowstar!" Darkheart recognized Lilystar's voice.

Before he could throw her off she grabbed him by the scruff and threw Darkheart to the wall.

Then her eyes widened. "Darkheart!?" she shouted,"Why are you trying to kill Snowstar?"

"Because I want to rule over the Clans!" Darkheart answered,"I'll kill you too!"

This'll be easy. Lilystar is like a kit! Darkheart realized. He pounced on her and they wrestled for several heartbeats.

Lilystar was almost about to fall out of the den, which was at least 4 fox-lengths tall, until she surprisingly leaped above Darkheart and landed behind him. She strongly pushed him out of the den. Darkheart lost his balance on the edge and fell. He landed with a loud thump.

Everything suddenly went black.
