"Beat him up Richie! Beat him till he bleeds!" Stan cheered me on.

"Hey! Richie! Leave Jack alone!" A little voice we all know and hate commanded from beside me.

"Lookie, lookie here. Wittle Eddie protecting his wittle brother." Jack ran to Eddie and hugged him tightly.

"Why don't you just go away? You've already said you've always wanted to quit school and become a singer, and nobody here likes you anyway. So why don't you just scurry on and go away?" He shouted. People were gathering around us now, wanting to know what was the problem.

I already knew he knew what was the answer, he just wanted to humiliate me in front of everybody in the school.

"I'll get you, you fag." I spit at him. I walked away, but not before punching him in the face first.

Just then, the bell rang for the end of school.

"See ya Richie." Stan and Bev waved.

I grabbed my bike and quickly pedalled to my house. I was already late, that meant no dinner, like usual...

I opened the front door and there, I was met with my older brother, Finn,"Why are you late? You already know what that means right?" Finn shouted.

"Yes, Finn. No dinner." I whimpered. Finn was the only person that frightened me. He was the person that looked after me after mom and dad died. He was practically the only family I had left.

"Not tonight, Richie. I'm fed up with all the calls from school about you beating up some kid I don't give a shit about. I'm fed up with you coming home late every single fucking day. Now get out of my house before I drag you out myself you brat." He spat. His face was inches from my face and I could smell his horrible breath. His mouth was shaped into a snarl and I had to pinch myself so I didn't cry.

  "W-what?" My throat hitched.

"I said get the fuck out. I'm giving you thirty minutes to pack up your bags and go." He snarled.

"B-But I'll be homeless! Where am I supposed to sleep tonight?" I managed to croak out.

"Do you think I give a fuck about it?" He raised his voice.

I walked past him and hurried upstairs. I was on the verge of tears. I grabbed my bag and thrashed my clothes in there. Luckily, I only had a few pairs of clothes so they fitted into my bag easily. I grabbed my phone and the charger, my secret notebook and my family picture.

That picture was before mom and dad died. It was before Finn became such an ass. I wish Finn was still the brother that loved me, the one that looked after me and not the one now. Now he just cares about himself and doesn't give a shit about anybody.

I finished packing all my stuff and hurried downstairs. Finn was in the other room, watching tv and probably talking with his friend while smoking a cigarette or weed or crack or-or whatever!

I opened the door and left. Happy to be let out of this hell hole I used to call a home. I grabbed my bike and headed to Eddie's house. Surprising, I know.

I knocked on the door and a few seconds later, Jack opened the door. His smile faded and he screamed, "Eddie!" Tears pricked his eyes.

Eddie came tumbling down the stairs, earphones barely hanging from one ear, worried about his little brother. Jack was lucky, unlike me, he had a brother that actually cared about him.

"-Hello? Earth to Richie Tozier!" Eddie waved a hand in front of my face, "What the hell do you want?" He interrogated me, hands on his hips.

"I need to crash around your place for a while." I tapped my foot, looking around, making sure nobody was watching us.

  "Why?"

"It's none of your business okay?" I was getting impatient now.

"I said, why?" He raised his voice.

"Because Finn kicked me out! Okay! Now would you please let me into this fucking house!" I screamed, I noticed the neighbors next door looked to see what was the problem because the curtains were pushed aside and I could see heads peeking out. Great. Now we have an audience.

Eddie's face softened, he knew about my parents' death and how it changed my brother, mentally and physically, "Come in, Rich."

I stepped in and all the memories from when we were younger came flooding back to me. I remembered, Eddie was the person I went to after my parents died. He was the shoulder I would cry on every time Finn hit me. He was the person I went to when I got heartbroken by Millie.

"Why is he here Eddie?" Jack whimpered, scampering behind Eddie.

"He's gonna stay here for a few nights okay?" Eddie reassured him, "He's not gonna hurt you, don't worry." He glared at me as if saying 'You dare hurt him' threateningly. It didn't scare me much. I mean, just imagine a baby bunny trying to threaten you.

"Come on, let's go to my room." He ushered at me.
