(Stan's p.o.v)
Bill was walking by my side as we walked into the park. We thought we could skip school for the rest of the day, "S-Stan?" Bill asked.

  "Uhh, yeah?" I answered.

"Why did you d-do that? As in, why d-did you stand up for me? I thought you d-didn't like me. I even o-overheard you exclaiming to your f-friends that I was y-your 'arch nemesis'" He quote-on-quoted 'arch nemesis'.

"I don't know Bill. It was, instinct I guess..." I sighed.

"Thanks t-though. For h-helping me." He smiled that beautiful smile.

"No problem, Stuttering Bill, it was my pleasure." I laughed.

We kept on walking until we came to the ice cream parlor, "D-Do y-you, uhh, want wuh-one?" Bill asked, pulling out his wallet.

"Uhh, it's okay, I'll pay, anyways, you've gone through enough anyways." I waved, pulling out my wallet.

  "No, i-it's okay. I i-insist."

"Okay then, vanilla." I smiled, putting back my wallet in my back pocket.

He payed for his ice cream and mine. We kept on walking until we saw an empty bench. We sat down and ate our ice cream, "Hey, Bill? Can I call you that?" I asked, nervously.

  "Y-yeah, of c-course. What's wuh-wrong?"

"How come you don't stutter as much when I'm around?"

  He went a deep beetroot red, "Uhh, I don't k-know muh-myself. Ho-honestly, I haven't t-talked like this s-since..." He went silent.

"I'm really sorry Bill, I really am." I patted him on the shoulder.

Silently, he started weeping, my eyes went wide. I rubbed his back awkwardly, I don't really know how to comfort someone who's crying, to be honest. I finished the last of my ice cream, and embraced him in a hug, "Shh, there, there. Don't cry. You're gonna make me cry and I have no heart." I patted him on the head (why the heck did I do that?!).

"O-oh really? I li-literally suh-suh- saw y-you c-crying yesterday be-because Mr Clarke shuh-shouted at you." He laughed, "I muh-miss h-him Stan, I-I really do." Shit, his stutter. I could barely make out the words he was saying.

I checked my watch and noticed that school had already finished. Holy shit time went by fast. Fuck, people are gonna be coming through the park doors on their way home. Just then, I thought I saw Richie walking behind the bushes. I realised it really was Richie walking behind the bushes. And with Eddie Kaspbrack? And Jack Kaspbrack? Is there something wrong with my eyes? Am I really seeing this?
