Your P.O.V.
After hours of trying on clothes and buying them we decided to get some food.
"There should be a cafe somewhere here. We should go there." Aphmau suggested.
"Lead the way I guess." Katelyn replied.
As we all followed Aphmau I caught a glimpse of the entrance of the mall. I could see the long shadows of the people outside cast by the setting sun. The sun was setting behind the town's buildings in the distance and now the clouds in the sky were starting to turn into beautiful shades of pink and orange. It will be dark soon. Have we really been here that long? I observed the people leaving and entering the mall. Everyone seemed to be in a rush. Except for someone who was just standing there, looking inside. Were they waiting for someone?
"Y/n?" Lucinda called to me, "You good?"
I then realised I had actually stopped to look at the world outside.
"Oh? Yeah. I was just looking to see if it's already dark outside."
"Well if you're done you might want to hurry and catch up with the rest of them. This place is huge and I don't think it would be great if we got lost just before we're about to get food."
"Yeah lets go."
I turned my head to look where they all went and started walking in their direction with Lucinda. Soon enough we reached the cafe. We could smell wonderful freshly baked treats and coffee even from far away. The cafe had a cute wooden fence near the entrance instead of glass walls like the clothes shops we visited had.
When we walked in we could hear the other people having lively conversations and the noise of cutlery being used. There was some music playing softly in the background too. Colourful fairy lights hung from the ceiling above the tables which seemed to be made from the same oak wood as the fence. There were pretty paintings of mythical creatures on the walls and also plants that stood on small wooden shelves along with some books that I assume people were able to read while they were here. The wall at the very back of the cafe was painted. It depicted a colourful village at night with a lilac castle in the distance. The lights from the windows of the village houses and street lights actually produced light and made the wall seem brighter.
"Wow it's so pretty here," Katelyn commented, "How come we've never been here before?"
"It only opened last week." Aphmau replied.
"What are we waiting for?" Kawaii~Chan asked, "Lets go sit down!"

After about a half an hour, I had finished the really fancy rainbow pancakes I ordered. They were all stacked on top of each other and there was whipped cream, sprinkles and friut on the top one. If heaven was a food it would definitely be those pancakes. When everyone had finished their meal we stacked the different coloured crystal plates into a pile and put the golden cutlery on top to make more space on the table. Some of us still had delicious drinks to finish. I didn't want to spend any more money than I already had so I decided to get a simple hot chocolate with marshmallows, whipped cream and sprinkles.
"Wow I really wish I could have left some food to bring home for Aaron to taste but it was just too good." Aphmau stated.
"You're right." Katelyn replied.
"Aren't you two dating now?" Lucinda asked Aphmau. Aph blushed bright pink.
"Wait. Speaking of dating, how are you and Gene?" Lucinda turned to me and winked.
Gene... They don't know. I guess Dante hasn't told anyone yet.
"W--"
"We're fine." Someone interrupted. I felt cold hands gently holding my shoulders. It seemed like the entire cafe had gone silent. It made a shiver run down my spine and all the little hairs on my body stand. I looked away from the girls to hide my shocked expression and looked up at the person who was starting to squeeze my shoulders.
"Gene..." My mind felt like it was about to explode. I started to shiver. I could feel tears starting to form in my eyes but I did my best to hold them in. How can this be? He died... He died right in front of me! Am I hallucinating? Is he real? Since everyone is looking at him I suppose he has to be.
"Hello babygirl." He said. I blushed even more than Aphmau had just moments earlier. I could see Lucinda smiling at me from the corner of my eye.
"Did I scare you?" Gene asked.
"A little," I answered, "And your hands are as cold as a corpse."
"Funny you say that."
As I stood up Gene let go of my shoulders. I walked over to Lucinda and whispered in her ear.
"If I don't come back can you please take my stuff with you? Thanks."
The girls looked over, a little confused. I smiled at them to put them at ease. I'm guessing my shocked reaction to Gene showing up didn't go unnoticed.
"Excuse me," I said, "I'll be right back."
I gently took Gene's icy hand and pulled him after me. I led him outside the mall and found a place away from all the people passing by. The sun had pretty much set by now and the sky was a pretty royal blue colour with navy blue clouds.
"What..." I started to cry, "What are you doing here?"
"I should be asking you the same thing."
"How are you...? How did you...?" I couldn't even finish my sentences properly. I stepped closer to hug him, to make sure he was real and that his heart was still beating. When I lifted my weak arms he pushed them back down and once again held onto my shoulders with his ice cold hands. I wiped my tears and let out a sniffle.
"I'm so sorry, Gene, for everything that happened to you because of me."
"It's alright."
I looked up at his eyes. Cold. I couldn't put my finger on it. Something wasn't right. The longer I looked, the more uneasy I felt. Is he possesed? He looked away. His grip on my shoulders tightened so much it made me moan.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to do that." He apologised and took his hands off my shoulders.
"It's okay."
"Hey um... take off your high heels." He ordered.
"What? Why?"
"Just do."
That's weird. I took them off and stood in front of him again. For some reason I still wanted to be close to him. I was about to place my head on his collarbones because, quite frankly, he was a lot taller when I wasn't wearing heels. But he pushed me away.
"Why do you keep--"
He interrupted me with the look he gave me. Dead. Tired. His eyes held no emotion at all. It was frightening. What he said next made the colour drain from my face.
"Shh. Now you need to run."

So I read over some of my old work and laughed my ass off at how weird it was. Also the comments. Some of them were quite hilarious if I do say so myself. Anyways all I've got to say is that there's gonna be some changes.
Thank you for reading.
