Zeta's POV

My aunt helped Jax and I settle in to our new apartment. Jax's parents and surprisingly, my parents too, helped pitch in to buy it. I worked extra hours while Jenny watched Adelyn so I could get some extra cash.

It was a decent apartment. It was moderately-sized and has a sort of fairytale-like look to it and is in good condition. The interior is done in spring colors. The yard is small and resembles a meadow.

I thought it was perfect.

I've always kind of liked designing things. I'd decorate my room and put colors and patterns together so you could probably assume that I'd go crazy with the new apartment.

I obviously asked Jax what he'd prefer, but he basically told me to do whatever I wanted and he'd love it. He's so sweet and I find myself falling deeper and deeper in love with him everyday.

He's the only guy I've ever felt completely comfortable with. He's forgiven me, respected me, and most importantly, he's stayed with me. Through thick and thin. I love him.

I've also gotten to know his family better. They've also accepted me and made me feel almost like one of them. They're sort of like the ideal family I've never had, but obviously want.

"Hey Jax?" I asked one day as we were watching television. "What's up?" He replied. "How would you feel about me becoming an interior designer?" Jax turned off the tv and chuckled, "What do you mean, how would I feel?" I shrug, "I dunno."

He smiled at me, "Go for it." I beamed back, "Really?" He nodded, "Yeah, you're an adult now. Do what you want... to an extent obviously." I hugged him, "I just wanted to make sure that you and I were on the same page." He kissed my forehead, "We're in the same story. Reading at the same pace. Of course I'm on the same page."

I playfully punched his shoulder, "You took that from tumblr, didn't you!" He puts his hands up and laughs, "Yeah, but you get my point!" We laugh together before he kisses me. But we were soon interrupted by Adelyn's cries.

I get up to go get her, but Jax stops me by grabbing my hand. "We never get any time together, just you and me anymore." He whined, obviously kidding. "I love you! But I've got to go get her."

I pulled away from his grip and went to go get Adelyn.

Jax's POV

I flipped through the channels in the television.

Obviously, I'm in love with Zeta, but I mean... I don't know, we're missing out on a lot of things. We literally just had to jump into adulthood. We don't get to enjoy college days together or go to parties or...

No. I'm not leaving Zeta. We're in this together. There's still lots of time to enjoy life. We can hire a nanny or babysitter to watch Ade sometimes so we can go out or something.

But would Zeta even do that? Lately, she's been acting more and more like my mother. It's kind of scary.

Zeta came back with a sleeping Adelyn in her arms.

"Hey Zeta. How would you feel about someone watching Adelyn so we could go out and do something?"
"Who would watch her? What would we even do?"
"My mom or your aunt could watch her. We could do whatever we wanted. Be kids for a night." I joked.
"Well, I think we've dumped Adelyn on your parents and Jenny enough. And I mean, we're not kids anymore. She's our responsibility."
I frowned, "I know that. And I was joking." I took a deep breath "I wasn't saying we should 'dump' Ade on them, it was just a suggestion. But I mean, it'll just be for a night so we can hang out, I don't think my parents would mind that."

She stood up, rocking the baby in her arms as she was getting a little antsy. "Jax, Ade has been very clingy lately and I don't want our guardians to spend so much time with her that she only knows them, you know what I mean?"

"No, I don't know what you mean. They only watch them when it's an emergency. When's the last time that she's been babysat, let me think... Oh, I know! A whole month and a half ago. Why are you acting like it's every fucking day!?"

She sighed, "Jax, please don't yell at me. I'm not trying to say that whatsoever."

I groaned, "Look, I'm not saying we 'dump' her on them so we can run away to Vegas. I'm saying let's just get away for one night so we can spend some quality time together and have a good time. Take a little break from things and forget about the stresses of life. For. One. Night."

"A break from life? This is our life now. I get what you're saying, but it sure seems like you're saying you want a break from being an adult and your responsibilities."

I grab my forehead, "That's exactly what I'm saying!" She shook her head, "Are you backing out. Leaving me?" I turn from her, with my hands on my head, "Woah! Woah! Whoah! Where are you getting this from?! Hell no! I won't leave you. I'm done talking now."

"Oh, so you decide when you're done!?" She screamed. "Zeta! Why are you being like this?! I wasn't even close to meaning whatever's going through your head right now! Sorry I said anything!"

"Well sorry! I just feel like you never want to be around your own daughter ever!" I got up in her face and yelled, "Well I feel like you never want to be with me ever and your hormonal mind twist crap and makes you just take everything as an attack!"

Adelyn started wailing. Zeta just stood there for a minute. "I cannot believe that you just said that." She walked off. I flipped on the couch, "Damn it." I whisper-shouted.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang. I got up and answered the door, "Jessie!?"
