Watching Kyle's car drive away was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to watch. I let the tears flow freely as I realize it'll be a long time before I see him again or before I feel his lips on mine. I slowly walk over to my car just wanting everything to have just been a terrible dream. But sadly this is reality and the reality is, someone told administration about Kyle and I and I'm going to find out who.

I drive home in silence not bothering to play the radio. When I reach my house I turn off the car and sit there for a little bit. I can't believe it's ending like this. I get out and walk up the porch steps unlocking the front door.

"Hello honey." I spot my mom as soon as I walk into the kitchen.

"Hey." I put my things down and slouch in the first seat I see.

"What's wrong sweety?" My mom gets up and starts rubbing circles on my back, something she used to do when i was younger.

"Just an eventful day." I lay my head down on my arms and let out a huge sigh.

"What happened?" My mom was so consistant.

"I had an encounter with my ex boyfriend is all."

"Well I'm sorry but it's not like your relationship was entirely appropriate." She continues to rub my back and that's when what she said sinks in.

"Mom." I turn around and she puts her arm down looking at me expectantly.

"How do you know my relationship wasn't appropriate I never told you who I was dating?" Her face drops as she realizes what she said.

"Well I just assumed-"

"It was you wasn't it?" I shot up spinning around to face her fully.

"Honey what did you expect me to do when I found out my 17 year old daughter was dating her history teacher? Which by the way we need to have a discussion about." I can't believe this.

"No we don't mom. I can't believe you did that, I love him! He lost his job because of you!"

"No he lost his job because he took advantage of a little kid!"

"I'm not a little kid for gosh sake I'm 17, 18 in 2 months! And he didn't take advantage of me I'm the one who convinced him to give it a shot."

"It doesn't matter he's 22 and should not be dating a 17 year old." Seriously? Is she seriously saying that right now!

"Mom you and dad are five years apart just like Kyle and I!" She seemed to be lost for words for a couple seconds.

"That's not the same we were both adults when we got together!"

"Gosh! How'd you even find out anyway?" It better not have been Taylor.

"Ms. Carla told me who it was who dropped you off and she promised not to speak to anyone else about this."

"I can't believe this." I grabbed my keys and ran out the door getting in my car.

"Nicole wait!" I hear my mom yell after me but it's too late I'm already out of the driveway.

I drove and drove until I reached the tiny apartment I've come to love. I hop out and run up the stairs until I reached his room. I bang on the door waiting for him to answer but no answer comes. I knock again but still I met with silence.

"Oh honey he left 10 minutes ago. Said he wasn't gonna be back for a while." The woman goes back into her room shutting the door. My back slides down the door and once again I let the tears flow.
