I woke up the next morning with an ear splitting head ache and could barely get out of bed. I just laid there until my mom walked in making sure I was awake.

"Honey are you ok?" My only response was a grunt from under my blankets.

"Ok why don't you stay home today i'll call the office and let them know." And with that she walked away and left me to go back to sleep.

I woke up around 2 in the afternoon and spent the rest of my day on my computer and taking Ibprofen for the pain. Surprisingly it worked like magic and by dinner you would never knew I had a head ache at all.

"So how was your first day yesterday?" My dad asked as we ate out steak.

"Good I have a new teacher in history names Mr. Sorice." I explained enjoying the taste of the meat. How can something from a cow taste this good!

"That's cool do you like him?" My mom said joining into the conversation.

"Ya he's pretty cool from what I've seen." I was definitely not going to mention how good looking he was. My parents would never understand. Or well my dad wouldn't, my mom on the other hand she would probably ask me to go into details. She's always telling me how good looking my teachers are. It's like ew gross! That's the last thing you want to hear your MARRIED mother say.

The rest of the night I just laid in bed reading Twitter before I finally drifted off to sleep. The last thing that entered my mind was the thought that I would get to see him tomorrow.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up feeling ten times better than I did yesterday and quickly got up to shower and get dressed. I decided to dress up nicer today so I went with a yellow sundress with a brown jacket over top and brown sandals. I put on limited makeup and walked down the stairs to grab my soccer stuff and bag before heading out.

On the drive to school I blared my favorite band yellowcard the whole way. When I finally reached the school I pulled into my spot 145 right in front and got out grabbing my bags. I made my way inside and immediately saw Taylor leaning up against the wall. As soon as she saw me she ran over in excitement.

"You're here! Are you ok?" She asked linking arms with me.

"Ya just didn't feel well. What I miss?"

"Just a pop quiz in history. Ugh if it's Mr. Sorice's intent to make us hate him on the second day it's working." I laughed and rolled my eyes at her once again dramatic behavior.

"What was it on?" I mean we haven't learned anything yet so how could we have a pop quiz?

"The syllabus, I mean who actually reads that thing?" By this point we made it to our lockers and I didn't feel the need to tell Taylor I actually read it.

First period I had math and that went by pretty fast and second I had English which felt like it dragged on forever! Ok now I'm being the dramatic one but oh well.

Third period I walked in the room with Taylor and we both took our seats up front. Not even a minute later I hear my name being called.

I turn around to see Mr. Sorice motioning me to his desk. I give Taylor a look and she wiggles her eyes in return. Hmmp very mature.

"Yes Mr. Sorice?" I asked once I reached his desk.

"You missed a quiz yesterday and I would like you to take it after school if that's alright?" Just looking into his perfect blue eyes I got lost them.

"Nicole?" I shake my head out of my daydreams and focus on what he's saying.

"Oh right after school got it."

"You should really work on that day dreaming thing." Mr. Sorice says and he gets an eye roll from me and a laugh from the rest of the students.

"After school alone with Mr. Sorice? Can I take your place?" Taylor asks and I just roll my eyes and turn around ignoring her. Wow my eyes are going to get stuck If I keep rolling them.

-------------------------------------------------

The rest of the day felt like an eternity. And when the final bell rang I was the first kid out of their seat making me way upstairs to Mr. Sorice's room. I'm not going to lie I was kind of excited to be with him all alone. I mean I know obviously nothing was going to happen but a girl can dream right? I mean it seems like that's all I've been doing lately.

I knock twice on his door before entering and taking the same seat I do during class. He placed the quiz on my desk and I began diligently working on it until I was done. I looked up at the clock and realized it only took me ten minutes to complete and I still had plenty of time to get to practice.

I walked back to his desk and placed the quiz face up.

"Wow done already?" I nod my head and turn to leave before he stops me.

"Wait here I'll just grade it right now." I wait patiently as he checks over my quiz not once using his red pen.

"Wow 100 good job."

"Thank you I'm probably the only one who actually took the time to ready the syllabus you gave us."  He lets out a low chuckle before saying "Ya you're probably right."

I collect my things before making my way to my locker. I grab my soccer bag and put my books away before closing it and once again running straight into Mr. Sorice.

"We really need to stop doing this." He laughs at my comment and bends down to grab my cleats that had fallen.

"When's your first game?" He asked examining my cleats before handing them back.

"Friday at 7." I state proudly knowing that I was going to be a starter.

"Nice I might come watch." I was completely shocked by this statement.

"Really?" I asked completely amazed.

"Ya I'd love to come see the team and see everyone play. Including my star student who seems to think my class is just and excuse to daydream." I let out a laugh before making my way to practice.

Is it just me or does it seem like he's not going to see everyone play. I don't know just the way he said it made me feel like there was something more to it.
