the next day, cassidy woke up with nothing but excitement. all that had been on her mind the night before
was not that is was going to be her birthday, but the fact that she was gonna see jack after so long that they had been separated.
she smiled at the thought of
finally being able to hug him and
kiss him.

she checked the time on her phone which read, 10:45 am. in just 3 hours, she was going to the airport to pick up her boyfriend and his idiot best friends.

she changed into her outfit of the day, and began applying her makeup. while she did so, she had her speaker on and blasted her favorite song by her her favorite boys, "hooked." so there she was, trying to make the perfect liner while screaming and shouting the lyrics.

"what wrong? i came in here because i thought someone was crying for help or something." her mother said from behind her. cassidy turned her head and saw her mother laughing in the doorway.

"im happy. don't judge." she stuck her tongue out at her mom jokingly and finished off her makeup.

"well, it's time to go." she smiled widely. even she was excited for her daughter to reunite with the boy that makes her the happy girl she is.

"wow, already?" cassidy asked surprisingly, "literally like 10 minutes ago it was 10:45" she laughed.

cassidy grabbed her phone and slung her purse over her shoulder. she walked towards her mom and said, "im ready."

-
after 30 long minutes of driving and listening to her mothers 80's playlist, they finally arrived. cassidy's heart was beating out of her chest.

"everything gonna be alright, cassidy. let's go." her mother said, reassuringly. cassidy took a deep breath, then got out of the car. they then made their way into the airport.

almost immediately, fans began approaching the girl and shouting out, "happy birthdays" cassidy took photos with as many fans as she could, until a worker spoke in the intercom. "flight 204 is now landing."

that was jack's flight.

"go ahead, cassidy." one fan spoke with a smile. the rest of the fans nodded. "thank you guys." cassidy smiled, and began walking to where the boys would be.

people came out through the doors of the gate, but none were him. her patience was decreasing, and her face turned from excitement to sadness.

"what if he couldn't make it?"
"what if he didn't want to see me?"
were all the thoughts going through her head. that was until she saw a boy with blue eyes walking through the gate, then a boy with blonde hair, then a tall boy with brown hair, then a boy with rosy cheeks.
finally, he walked through. as soon as he did so, it felt as if the world was going in slow motion. he was actually here. tears filled the bridges of her eyes as she ran towards her boyfriend. she wrapped her arms around his neck, and her legs around his waist. she looked into his eyes, and he looked into hers. "you're actually here." she spoke softly, brushing her fingers through his soft, curly hair.
"im here." he smiled, kissing cassidy passionately. the fans that witnessed it all, gave loud screams and began jumping around for joy. they pulled apart, but never looked away. "this was honestly the best birthday gift ever." cassidy whispered to jack, "i love you."
