Chapter 30

JACK'S POV
-

"i still can't believe you're here."
cassidy giggled, giving me one last hug.

i love cassidy, but what i was doing to
her was hurting my heart. cassidy deserves
all the world, so the fact that im doing this
to her is beyond my knowing.

right as cassidy was about to give me a kiss,
i got a text message from her. my eyes
got wide.

"what's wrong, babe?
cassidy asked, looking into my eyes.
"who was that? you look like you saw a ghost."
she gave a slight laugh.

i began to panic,
and a million excuses came
flooding to my head.

"oh, just a friend."
i gave her a reassuring smile
and kissed her forehead. i hung my arm over
her shoulders and led her to where the
boys were, hoping that that distracted her
from the text.

"BOYSSS!" she screamed,
giving all four
a tight hug.

"i missed you so much, cass"
daniel spoke into her shoulders.
he unwrapped himself from cassidy's grasp
said, "catch me up on everything" while
linking arms and leading her to the nearest subway.

when i saw that she was far enough away,
i pulled out my phone to check the message.

kels: hey baby, just wanted
to say that i miss you so much already.
call me soon, okay? :(

my heart dropped.
i can't keep this up much longer.

me: i will babe, don't worry❤️

once i sent that message, cass and
daniel came back. "here baby, i got you a
drink. sprite, right?" she smiled, handing me my drink.

how is it that baby was being said
by both girls, but it meant so much more with
cassidy?

"my favorite, thanks babe."
i smiled back, grabbing her hand to hold it.

"you guys are so cute, it's disgusting"
zach said, making a gagging face.

"disgusting because you couldn't get this?"
i said, slapping cassidy's ass.

"jack!"
she laughed, slapping
my arm.

i just have her a wink.

"whatever"
zach said, sticking his tongue out at us.

"so, whatcha been up to?"
cassidy asked, taking a sip of her
drink.

oh, ya know, i've just been
hanging out with my other girlfriend,
how about you?

"nothing much really, just been hanging out
with the boys. recording some new music."

"ohhh! you gonna let me hear?"
she asked with her beautiful smile.

"of course"
we were supposed to let anybody hear
our music, not even family, but her freaking
smile just made me give in.

"yay!"
she clapped her hands.

i then got a message.
then another.
then another.

"woah, someone's blowing up your phone there."
cassidy awkwardly laughed.
she knows i don't really have contacts on my phone, besides family or the boys, so having this many notifications was very out of the ordinary for her.

"yeah, haha, just studio stuff"
i chuckled, pulling out my phone
to answer the message.

kels: ur the best boyfriend ever 💘
kels: oh, so you're not answering
cause ur w ur other girl huh?

me: no babyyy, im with a friend right now, i promise. i just have really important stuff to deal with right now. i miss u and i'll text u later❤️

i sighed, turning off my phone.
forgetting that cass was here.

"what's wrong?"
she asked concerned.
"let me see"

"no!"
i panicked.
"i mean it's fine, it's okay."

"wow. okay then."
she crossed her arms and
walked over to the rest of the guys.
she was clearly upset, and daniel
noticed it too.

great.

after what seemed like forever, it
was finally time to leave the airport.
cassidy was still upset with me, and i
was devastated. what kind of person am i to be
doing this to someone i really love?

after about 15 minutes, we finally got to the
house we would be staying at for the next two weeks. things between me and cassidy were getting more heated. she was now full on giving me the silent treatment, and "accidentally" bumping into me while walking to the kitchen.

i was in the middle of watching a tv show in the living room when i heard a knock on the front door. i heard the sound of footsteps approaching the door so i just stayed seated.

"hello?"
cassidy asked, confused.
"look, jack really appreciates your support, but he can't really talk to fans right now. im so sorry."
just as i heard the door about
to close, the person on the other side stopped
it from doing so.

"oh sweety, im not a fan."
said the girl on the other side of the
door asked.

my heart fell.
kelsy.
this can't be good.

yes, i know i haven't updated in forever. im SUPER SORRYYYY! but im gonna be honest with you, i haven't really been interested in finishing this book, but i finally came around to it.

i also didn't intend on making jack a cheater, but i felt that a bit of drama was needed in this story. ya know? so pls don't hate me 😞👊

also, the cheating part was super random. it was literally a last minute decision to do so, but yeah.
