Chapter 31

"oh sweety, im not a fan."
the girl on the other side of the
door asked.

my heart fell.
kelsy.
this can't be good.

i quickly ran to the door,
my heart beating like crazy.

"uh, hey babe, what's going on?"
i asked nervously while wrapping my
arms around cassidy's shoulders.

cassidy glared at me and pushed
my arm off her shoulders.

"yeah, what is going on jack?"
kelsy asked, her arms
wrapped around her chest.

"kelsy, stop"
i shook my head, practically
begging her not to say anything
with my eyes.

"you know her?"
cassidy asked me.
i noticed her begin to worry
as she looks at both me and kelsy.

"what, jack? you don't want her to know about
the little "sleepovers" we had together while you were on tour, jack?"
she gave us a smirk as she looked at both
cassidy and i.

my heart dropped, and
i immediately looked at cassidy.
i felt a pang of pain in my heart and tears begin to surround my eyes as i saw the hurt
and sadness in her eyes.

"cassidy im so sorry, please let me-"

she cut me off.

"we're done."
and just like that, she walked up the stairs.
i knew she was hurt. i knew she was crying.
i hurt her, and i hate myself more
than anything for that.

"get out."
i said to kelsy with
clenched teeth.
i was angry at kelsy, but
mainly angry at myself.
why would i do this to cass?
i love her with all my fucking heart
and i hurt her all because i
felt lonely in my hotel room.
who the fuck does that?

"you left me for her. i really gained feelings
for you, jack. and i was so fucking stupid to even go on a date with you even though you had a girlfriend..
i feel so bad that i hurt cassidy as well, but i really liked hanging out with you those nights in your hotel room.. a lot. im sorry for ruining your relationship, but just like this hurts her.. it hurts me. do you
know how much it hurt to be kept a secret?
how much it broke my heart to be on the phone
with you, only to be called your "friend" whenever cassidy asked who you were talking to? you don't, do you? because you're in love with cassidy.. not me. you used me. you fucking used me. i know i shouldn't have told cassidy about us the way that i did, but i knew if i told cassidy about us, it would hurt you the way you hurt me.. goodbye, jack."
her voice cracked as she spoke, tears rolling
down her cheeks as she walks down the porch steps of my apartment.

i was speechless.
i didn't know she felt this way.
im so fucking stupid.
i had absolutely no feelings for
kelsy, yet i made it seem like i did.
i told her i loved her even though i didn't.
although i did feel bad for kels,
cass was my main priority.
she was my world.
she was the love of my life.
she meant everything to me.
she loved me for who i am, not the
"famous popstar" everyone sees me as.

my heart aches as i
realized that she broke up with me.
she doesn't love me anymore.

i was in deep thought, thinking
about what just happened until i heard
footsteps come down the steps.
i looked up at the stairs in hopes that
cassidy came back down to give me
another chance in our relationship..
but that didn't happen.

instead, daniel comes down the stairs,
his face extremely red and his fists
curled up in a ball. he was angry.
of course he is, cassidy was his bestfriend.
i was ready though. ready for whatever
daniel was about to do to me, i deserve it.
