Rashad's POV

I sat on the interview couch as Queen Latifah began to ask me questions.

"Okay. Tonight, we'll be joined by Rashad Spencer. The number one selling R&B artist. How are you doing today, honey," She asked me with a warm smile.

"I'm doing good. Living life. How are you," I asked returning her smile.

"I'm fine. We know you're probably tired of this question, but recently you proposed to your longtime girlfriend Tamara. What made you decide that she was the one," She read off of the screen.

"Oh. It's fine. I could never get tired of talking about her, but we actually grew up together. It was never anything more than a friendship, but of course I had a crush on her. I just didn't get a chance to date her. Anyways, one day I was just watching her sleep and no I'm not a creep," That earned a laugh from everyone. "She just brings happiness into my life and I was reflecting on all the good she's done for me because I wasn't supposed to be here. In the music industry, I was gon support her, but she took one of my songs and gave it to the CEO of Def Jam. She could've took the fame on her own, but she didn't. She brought me along, too," I smiled as everyone clapped.

"That is so sweet. So, how long have you guys been dating again," She asked while resting her chin onto her fist.

"Uh, a year and 3 months," I chuckled as everyone applauds.

"Ohhh," She laughed then continued to ask me questions about my album and what not.

After the interview, I decided to chill backstage for a while. I was walking toward the food table when I ran into Tinashe. Damn.

"Hey, Rashad. I didn't know you'd be here," She smiled while stuffing her hands into her jacket pocket.

"Uh, same here," I said while trying to walk away.

"Wait up," She called after me the walked up beside me.

I stopped then turned her while shoving my hands into my pockets. "Wassup," I asked.

"Nothing. I'm just really bored and I wanted to talk to someone besides my manager. All they wanna do is book shows after shows after shows," She huffed.

"Oh. My manager can be like that. That's why I try to keep Tamara around, so I won't get bored or irritated," I chuckled.

"That's sweet. You guys are engaged right," She asked while eyeing me.

"Uh, yeah," I said while knitting my eyebrows together.

"That's nice. When's the wedding," She asked while picking at her fingernails.

I squinted my eyes slightly at her. "We don't have a set date. We haven't even started planning. I wanna get hitched, but she wants a big fancy wedding," I joked trying to ease the mood.

She laughed like that was the funniest thing she'd ever heard then she hit my chest as her hand rested there. "You are so funny!" She exclaimed while slowly running her hand down my chest. I placed my hand on her wrist then moved it off of my body.

"That's not a good idea," I said uneasily. "I'll catch you later," I said while backing up then turning onto my heels and blowing out a breathe of air.

I boarded into my Range Rover then pulled out of the parking lot. Tamara is going to flip her wig when I tell her this. I really don't want to, but ion need it to cause problems in our relationship because I'm scared she'll go crazy on that girl. Which she will. I just thought Tamara was over exaggerating that whole situation, but it's true. She was forreal. I understand that other girls and women will have their crushes on me or whatever because who wouldn't? Its just don't come after me when you know I'm engaged and happy.
