Rashad's POV

I tapped the small mic on my chest to make sure it worked.

"You can hear me right?" I said into the mic.

"I can hear you clearly," I heard Tamara say in my ear.

"Good," I smiled then pushed the chip further into my ear.

I walked up the stairs leading to Tinashe's apartment. I knocked on her door then waited a couple of seconds until she opened the door. She looked at me then knitted her eyebrows together. I rolled my eyes behind my shades.

"Can I help you," She said while shifting her weight onto her left foot then crossing her arms.

"Yeah. I came to apologize and discuss a few things with you," I said before shoving my hands into my pockets and tilting my head to the right slightly.

She sighed then moved out of the doorway. "Come in,"

I walked in then rolled my eyes again while my back was turned to her. I turned to face her.

"I was out of line to come and blow up on you the other day. It's just that you lied and Ian want that to jeopardize my relationship," I said honestly.

She nodded. "My thing is that you didn't even give me a chance to explain. Just listen right quick,"

"What is there to explain," I said then sat on her couch. My instincts are telling me this ain't gon go like planned.

She shrugged then sat beside me on the couch.

"I mean, you the one that came over here to discuss nothing with me that day y'all did that interview. I mean, what was there to talk about? Why come over here? To flatter yourself?" She said while playing with the ends of her hair.

Damn. She had a point, but I can't let my gaurd down.

"Then why lie and say we had something going on when we don't?" I asked while looking over at her.

"Obviously, we do because you stay running over here when you need to 'talk'. Do Tamara know how much you come over here?"

I sighed then counted to ten, trying not to catch a damn case.

"You actin like I'm over here on a daily basis. I only come for business or to handle these rumors. You're the one turning into something else,"

"Rashad, you're the one getting defensive because I'm telling the truth,"

I'm literally two seconds from slapping her ass. Breathe. 1...2...3......4-

"Quiet 'cause you know I'm right," She smirked. "Look me in my eyes right now and tell me it's only business and we're only friends. Nothing more. Oh and take your shades off,"

I rolled my eyes then removed my glasses off of my face and looked her in her face.

"We are only friends. Its strictly business. Nothing more," I kind've looked to the left then back at her.

She laughed. "You don't even believe that let alone me,"

I rolled my eyes then attempted to place my shades back onto my face, but she grabbed my hand.

"Leave 'em off. You have nice eyes," She smiled.

If it wasn't for Tamara, I would've already strangled her ass and been on my way to Brazil.
