They rushed at the sound of their alarm. Demi fell out of bed, falling onto Rachel's cot. She moaned, throwing a pillow that effortlessly landed in Mabel's face. Mabel, thinking it was Eleanor, threw the pillow at her.

They realized it was time to get up.

"Was that the first alarm?" asked Mabel.

"No" cried Eleanor. "No, the first alarm was supposed to be quiet. The second alarm was the loud one."

Mabel grabbed the pillow she threw at Eleanor and threw it at her again.

"Genius. It's only supposed to be the first alarm" she said.

"Hey!" said Eleanor, throwing the pillow back at her. "I like to wake up to the sound of chimes.

"Too late now," said Demi. "We have to get a move on."

The girls rushed to get their clothes on and stuffed the remaining performance clothes in their bags along with a couple of protein bars.

They ran down the lobby, catching the elevator before a producer went down with it.

"Hi!" said Eleanor. "This is not what you think. We aren't usually late to practices" she said.

"Luckily for you, I work in movies. You're dancers are you?"

After chatting with the producers, they made their way into the auditorium. They rushed into the front row of seats, where an already waiting group of performers were waiting for them to join them. Some looked down upon them. One group of singers from Korea just giggled.

"They're gonna win" sighed Rachel.

Demi pinched her.

"Can you just get over him already?"

"No, I mean it. Kpop is really big, not just that they are cute. Though that is an added factor of why they will win over us."

"Which is?" asked Demi.

"Come on Demi. Nobody wants another Spice Girls. They've already had the Spice Girls. If we were a rock band, that may have been a little different 10-12 years ago, but even now we are nothing in the likes of a boy's group liked One Direction. Face it - we have no demographic."

The lady from yesterday reappeared on the stage.

"Alright! Is everybody excited?"

Those in the audience cheered.

"That is perfect! I know you all are going to do well in your performances. So now, let us begin the rehearsals. The first group we have is the Lightning Dance group."

8 men came on stage. Their jackets were black, white, and gold. They looked more like bees than lightning. All of them were from Chicago.

Their hats titled to the side, and they stared at the ground. Suddenly, they side-stepped and then began their dance.

It was the most remarkable, breathtaking and unnerving dance performance ever seen. While the crowd awed over the performance, secretly they all doubted their own abilities to make as equally outstanding contributions.

Yet the girls could do nothing. They had to watch each group that went on the stage.

The Korean girl group did go on the stage, accompanied by a boys' group. The sparkly girls twirled on the arms of their charming male partners as they sung, and it was anything but impossible for every girl in the room to be jealous.

Finally, it was their turn.

They left to their changing rooms. They came back and got on stage in their masks.
