TWO CHAPTERS IN ONE DAY!!!!!!!! (This one is kinda short though!)

AGAIN ERIK ISN'T MINE!!!!! HE WOULD GET A RESTRAINING ORDER ON ME IF HE WAS!!!!!!!

Erik grabbed the hand that held the knife and turned it around, causing Xavier to cut himself on the blade. Xavier cried out as the blade sliced his shoulder as he tried to dodge it. Erik’s bright blue eyes were full of murder, it was terrifying to see and I feared for my safety for the first time that I was with him. If he couldn’t keep control, how was I to know if I would be safe with him? I ran to my Grandma’s house as I heard the two of them struggling behind me.

Erik’s POV

I saw Isa’s retreating figure out of the corner of my eye and instantly regretted cutting Xavier. I knew how I must have looked in her eyes but I didn’t have time to dwell on that because a sharp pain in my side brought me back to reality. Blood dripped from the wound on my side, fueling my anger. Letting out a cry I grabbed his arms, so he couldn’t wound me again. We struggled back and forth until I heard someone run up and say “Drop your weapons or I have authority to shoot.”

I turned and saw several police officers. Isa’s Grandma ran outside too and I let go of Xavier’s hands. Seeing his chance, Xavier lunged with his knife and I moved just in time so he sliced my arm instead of my chest. The police officer’s musket fired and Xavier fell, face down on the ground. The gun pointed at me next as the officer barked “State your name and intentions.”

“My name is Erik Destler and-”

“And his intention was to protect my granddaughter.” Isa’s Grandma said.

“Signora Speranza!” The officer said. “I’m so sorry to disturb you, but this man…”

“My granddaughter owes her life and honor to this man, so will to be so kind as to remove the man you shot off our premise?”

“Of course!” the officer said. “Sorry Signore, Signora!” The officers picked up the body of Xavier and left.

“Thank you Madame, I-” I started.

“What were you thinking, making Isa cry?!” she snapped. “I had half a mind to let the officers arrest you!”

“I made her cry?” I asked feeling sick.

“Yes, she said something about the look in your eyes.” She said, crossing her arms and scowling at me.

“Oh no…” I said, feeling my heart sink. I ran to Sophi, Olivia, and Jemma’s house and opened the door to find Isa and Sophi sitting on the couch. Sophia glared at me and Isa looked up at me with her tearful eyes. “Isa, I am so sorry for what I did, please forgive me!”

“I can’t.” she said, sniffing.

“Isa, listen to me!” I said. “You don’t have to be afraid of me, I promise I’ll never hurt you!”

“You looked like you could.” She said shortly.

“You should leave.” Sophi said.

I nodded and got up, knowing that I had to pay a visit to the cathedral once more. When I arrived there, it had to have been almost midnight but I entered the church anyway. There wasn’t a soul in sight as I knelt and prayed to God for forgiveness again. “Erik.” A voice said.

I jumped at the sound of my name and turned to see Angel, the girl from before. “Hello Angel.” I said.

“Erik, I have come to warn you that you are scaring Isa away, you need to win her back and also you need to control your temper!” Angel said.

“I know, I don’t know what I’m going to do!” I cried.

“Show her how much she means to you, and when the time comes tell her that you love her.” Angel said. “It will all turn out alright in the end.”

“Thank you.” I whispered. “Would anyone mind too much if I stayed her for the night?”

“No, people sleep in the church when they have nowhere else to go.” Angel said. “But be sure to go home in the morning and for goodness sake show Isa how much you love her!”

“I will, I promise.”
