A/N: This is it! The final chapter of What If He Wasn't Alone! Thank you all SO much for sticking with me and Isa and Erik for so long! :) I hope you enjoy this chapter!
Erik’s POV
It had been a year since we had admitted our love for each other, otherwise known as one year of me trying to build up the courage to propose to Isa. I had recruited Olivia, Sophi and even Jemma to figure out how to ask for her hand in marriage.
“It doesn’t have to be anything drop-dead stunning!” Olivia laughed.
“Yes it does!” I exclaimed, pacing the floor of the living room. “It has to be perfect!”
“And what if it isn’t?” Jemma asked. “I doubt she would say no!”
“But what if she does?!”
“Erik, let me ask you a question.” Sophi said, turning to face me. I stopped pacing and stared at her. “Who was caught kissing in the kitchen on Valentine’s Day?” she asked.
I felt my face go red as I answered “Isa and I…”
“And who doesn’t ever leave each other’s side?”
“Isa and I.”
“And who is going to say yes, and possibly cry out of pure happiness when you ask her to marry you?” Olivia asked, smiling wide.
“Hopefully, Isa.” I said.
“Exactly!” Jemma chimed in.
“Okay, okay, now the only question that’s left is how do I ask for her hand in marriage?!” I exclaimed, continuing to pace.
“Well, what does she love?” Sophi asked.
“Besides you!” Olivia adding, giggling.
“Um… she loves music, dancing and singing. She loves windy and sunny days but she also loves storms. She loves the night, the ocean, making me laugh and listening to me play the piano.” I said, my mind going through everything I had ever learned about Isa.
“So… think of ideas including something she loves… besides you.” Sophi said, smiling.
“Why can’t you just ask?” Jemma said.
“Jemma honey, you’ll understand when you’re older.” Olivia said, patting her little sister on the head. Jemma folded her arms and pouted as Olivia added, “Do you already have a ring?”
“I bought the ring a day after we started courting.” I said, rolling my eyes as both the older girls held a chorus of aww’s.
“I’m sure the wonderful mind of the ex-Phantom can figure out how to propose.” Olivia said, laughing. Shortly after Isa and I shared our first kiss, we told her family about my past and they had (to my shock) accepted me with open arms.
