This cold that Ive had for the past few days is finally going away. I felt way better. My throat didn't hurt anymore, my fever was gone and I was feeling back to myself. I had just gotten out the shower when I saw Dakota calling me.Kori-Wass up Fox?
Dakota-I hear someone feeling better.
Kori-So much better.
Dakota- im so bored in this house. The club needs to hurry up and open back up.
Kori- right. Lucky my grandmas house paid off and the bills are paid up till June.
Dakota- Girl I dont worry about bills no way. You know my boo take care of all that.
Kori-So why do you work again?
Dakota- It was to just for my shopping and weed habit but now I stacking to open up my store.
Kori-uh when were you going to tell me about this idea?
Dakota- Now.
Kori-Unhuh. What you doing today?
Dakota-Well I called you to ask you if you wanted to go shopping.
Kori-You know im always down for a trip. What time?
Dakota- can you be ready in 30?
Kori- ill see you then.
Dakota- Alright. Love ya boo.
Kori- love ya too.I hung up the phone and went through my closet. I decided on a simple black tshirt and some black ripped jeans. I lotion my body up and put on my fav perfume. I put my clothes on and paired it with my white coat and white Bearpaw boots. By time i got dne flat ironing my hair, Dakota texted me saying she was outside. I put on my last accessories, a few more sprays of perfume, grabbed my purse and left.
On the way to the mall, Fox and I talked about her and her man. She was telling me about their latest argument and I honestly found it funny.
Dakota- That shit aint funny Kori. I almost punched him in the throat.
Kori- You almost punched him because he wants to watch the game with his friends?
Dakota- Its not who he's watching it with, its where they watching it at. You know damn well Terry's house is the hoe house.
Kori- True but still. Damn Fox. Give him some leeway. Remember you the one that don't wanna move in together.
Dakota- I love my peace too much. And he should know better.
Kori- Both of yall just stubborn.
Dakota- Aint that the pot calling the kettle black.
Kori- What you talking about?
Dakota- You & Dallas fool. Both of yall walk around the club smiling at each other, all up in each others face. Why don't yall just get together already. Even Keith can see it.
Kori- Me & Dallas are just friends for the thousandth time. And i dont get up in his face. Hes always in mines. I never leave the bar.
Dakota- Unhuh. But its not like you tell him to go away either.I gave Dakota a smug look and sucked my teeth.
Kori- We not talking about me. We talking about you and your relationship.
Dakota- Im just saying. Dont call us stubborn when you two are the most stubborn.
Kori- We're just friends. Besides. I think he's talking to someone already. As much as it hurt my feelings to say it, I believe it. Sometimes hes so fixated on his phone. If it was about business he would have no problem answering calls or anything. But lately I noticed everytime his phone rings, he's cutting our time short. I know I really dont have no right to feel this way. But shit I can't help it. The girl who had a crush on him in high school is budding out now. And I can't push her back down. I don't even think I want to. I honestly just hope Im wrong deep down inside.
Dakota- Im pretty sure whatever hoodrat he talking to, he'll dump if you open your mouth and say something. I mean how can he pick a hood rat over a classy bitch like you?
I laughed at Dakota. I love my best friend. She always gives me the real even when we both know im denying the truth.
Kori- Me & Dallas are better as friends. And its better to keep it that way.
Dakota- Fine Ri. Ill shut up about it for today. We finally pulled up to the mall and got out excited. We were walking from store to store looking browsing and buying. All of sudden Dakota was pulling me into a store called "Elegance". It was a dress shop that had fancy dresses form proms, nights out and stuff like that.
