World building -
Let us start off when world building starts to kill your storyline.
Bottom line from the video - keep a clear line between them and us. Know who you are. Note most of the 'Anatomy of a Failure' advice is broken by Game of Thrones. This had made me rethink the early part of the Intro to Rise of the Cyborgs. I wanted it to be an ensemble movie. Like Game of Thrones. I wanted a world in disorder - not plucky girl over throws bad guy. I wanted the interludes to be like short stories. They build up ( hopefully quickly ) to let you see a character you never get to meet.
RK: I didn't use this in cyborg's pet. We have been complimented on our world building in Pet. We did make things consistent and never used something which hadn't been weakly introduced.
You don't want to break disbelief. You have spent so long building it.
Bottom line - the plot drives the world. On the other side we don't spend much time on descriptions on Pet -
