Avril nodded at Bhelen's words, not truly listening to them. Her mind was elsewhere. She smiled softly at him saying that he would offer troops for the Blight. On the way back to Arl Eamon's, they set up camp. As they were pitching their tents, she overheard Morrigan talking to Alistair.
"So am I to understand that you two have ended your relationship?"
The elven woman swallowed thickly. Morrigan knew they were done. She was most vocal about Alistair claiming the throne and the two of them doing what's best for Ferelden. So why would she bring this up to him, just to turn the knife?
Alistair stared daggers into the dark haired woman, his nostrils flaring. He looked like he would punch her square in the nose, if he didn't know any better,"Shut up. That is none of your business!"
"What? No questions allowed? Do you not wish your motivations-"
The warrior drew his sword, leaving it at his side,"I said shut up; I will run this sword right through you! I am not joking!"
Avril took her bottom lip between her teeth, a little sick to her stomach that Morrigan would do such a thing. They were close and she knew that the Dalish girl still loved him, so why rub salt in the wound? It was cruel, and extremely unnecessary.
Later that night, Avril crawled into Leliana's tent, shaking her slightly to wake her. When the red head swatted her away, she knew that tonight wasn't the night to keep the former sister up.
Still fuming about Morrigan, she approached Jett, whom was playing with the mabari, Crusher. Despite his name, he didn't take much to the war hound lifestyle, which is why is normally stayed behind.
"Something on your mind?", Jett asked while stroking Crusher, not even looking over at the Warden.
"It's been weeks and I'm not over...y'know. It's driving me crazy. I can't close my eyes without seeing him smiling. I can't lay in my tent without thinking about him holding me. I can't...I just can't, Jett."
The brunette stood up straight and turned to her,"He's the one. Your soulmate or whatever it is that hopeless romantics spew."
"So what do I do?"
Jett sighed and crossed his arms,"I'd love to help you, but this is something you and him need to work out. There isn't a thing anybody else can say that will console or assist you..."

The next morning as a few of them began getting ready to meet the Arl, Avril pulled Leliana aside,"I...I'm not sure I believe in the elven gods anymore..."
"If this is about Alis-"
"No, no...It's not. I just...I can't pinpoint, or even find, a single instance where I genuinely thought they helped me. But Chantry sisters have prayed for me before and..."
The rogue smiled softly, rubbing her leader's arm to show her that she's there to support her,"May the Maker guide you, Avril."

Upon losing the debate at the Landsmeet to the Warden, Loghain looked around at the nobles,"None of you deserve a say in what happens here! None of you have spilled blood for this land the way that I have! How dare you judge me?"
Avril rubbed her temples in frustration at the growing headache due to Loghain's screaming,"Call off your guards, Loghain, and let us end this honourably."
