Chase stepped out into the sunlight and raised his hand to shield his face from the rays. He lowered his hand as soon as his eyes adjusted to the light and walked down the stairs. He messed with the strap on his backpack as he continued down the sidewalk. 'Hmmm, the school is only down the street? Thanks granddad.' Chase headed towards the school as he saw more students flood into the school's courtyard.
*'Ugh, this school looks like it'll be a complete bore.'* Hyde's voice rang out in Chase's head as they entered the courtyard. 'Come on dude, it's not that bad.' Chase turned his head and saw two girls pull into the school. The girls seemed to be a bit in a rush and headed into the school. Chase was too into the school's scenery to watch where he was going.
Chase bumped into a bed of soft black and white before pulling back and seeing the girl attached to the hair. She turned around and didn't seem amused at all. She had piercing brown eyes and fiery pink lip gloss.
"Ugh, watch it new kid." She sashayed away from Chase, hitting him with her hair in the process and walked up to the group of people that awaited her outside the front door.
"I'm...sorry?" Chase sighed as he continued walking in the school's courtyard and observed his new classmates interacting with each other. He saw two girls pull up to the school in a red convertible before running into the school as the first bell began to ring.
Chase quickened his pace across the courtyard and up the stairs.
