Chase walked into the school and was instantly overwhelmed  by the many students in the hallway. So many people in one hallway, he may as well turn around and head back home.

*'Quit being such a wimp. Get in there and work it out.'* Chase took a deep breath and walked down the hallway avoiding all eye contact with the other students. He found his way to his first classroom. He looked around and saw most of the seats were filled. He glanced around to find the closet seat to the back of the room and quickly found his way to it.

"Good morning students." A tall, brown haired man entered the room as the bell rang. Some students sent him a reply while others just took out their phones. "So welcome back to another interesting year. Don't forget that tomorrow after school there will be open auditions for the school's fall play of Alice In Wonderland." Chase seemed to zone out after that. All the words that fell out of his teacher's mouth were lost as he doodled in his notebook.

Chase felt a paper wad softly hit the back of his head. He leaned over the side of his desk and picked it up. He unfurled it and read a note that read "Welcome to monster high freak." He turned around and saw a another student with his feet propped up on another desk. The student made eye contact with Chase before smirking and winking at Chase before turning his attention back to the front of the class.

    *'It'll only take me-'*

"No." Chase silenced Hyde before he could finish his thought. Chase wadded the paper back up and threw it to the side. Chase sighed as his eyes wandered over to the clock.

"And that's why a equals 13." Mr. Winchester turned away from the chalkboard and saw that none of his students had heard a word of his lesson. "Come on guys, did anyone get a word of that lesson?" He lowered his head and facepalmed as another student walked into the class reading a book. "You're late young lady."

"Sorry Mr. Winchester, got held up in the councilor's office." The girl walked towards the back of the classroom where Chase sat as Mr. Winchester went back to his lesson.

"You're sitting in my seat again Valentine." Chase turned his head and saw the girl standing there with her eyes still on her book.

"Oh am I? Sorry, it's so hard to see a thing with these shades on." Valentine removed his feet from the seat in front of his and leaned closer to the girl to continue their conversation. "I was a little disappointed that you didn't come to my party last night Alice."

"Sorry Val, I have much more important things to do then go to one of your lame parties."

"Oh, Ally you wound me." Valentine pretended to be shot in the heart before smirking and getting out of Alice's desk and moving to his. Alice lowered her book and took her seat diagonal from Chase. She put her book away and noticed Chase's schedule on the floor. She picked it up and tapped Chase on the shoulder.

"I think you dropped this." Chase turned and made eye contact with her. her brown eyes hidden behind her red hair. His blushed before taking the schedule and turning back around in his seat.

The bell rang releasing the students from their homeroom and Chase was the last one out of the room. He wanted to avoid "making friends" as best as he could before finding out more about his classmates. He watched Valentine follow Alice out into the hallway and sneered at him.

*'You should hurt him.'* Chase balled up his fist and tried to ignore Hyde. He started walking by some lockers and felt a sharp pain take over him. "Agh!" He fell into the lockers and gripped his head.

     'Not yet. You promised.'

*'I didn't promise anything. Stop fighting me Chase. The more you fight me the stronger and angrier I'll get. You should know that by now; after all, that is how we killed Frankie.'*

That name. It was enough to push the switch between Chase and Hyde. Chase felt like he was slipping and saw a crowd of students surround him.

"Is he okay?"    "Was there a fight?"    "Ugh, what a freak."

Chase was about to let the switch take its full affect before he saw a hand appear in front of him.

"Hey are you okay?" He looked up and saw Alice offering him her hand. "Come on, let's get you to the nurse's office." Chase looked at her hand before looking back up at her and took her hand. She pulled him up and supported him against her body as the two headed down the hall to the nurse's office.
