Prologue

Existing the doors of juvie Angel could finally breathe again and seeing her father on the far end with his truck immediately brought a smile on her face. She ran to him and hugged him with all her heart.

FP chuckled and hugged his daughter back. However, all humor left his face and he felt his daughter shake.

"Woah, Woah, are you crying Angel?" FP pulled her off of him and stared at her in shock.

"What's wrong?" FP immediately wiped her tears away.

"I-I just missed you," Angel sadly smiled.

FP smiled warmly at his daughter.

"I missed you too,"

Angel looked around and finally noticed that her mother and two siblings were nowhere in sight.

"Where's mom, Jug, and Jelly?" She asked.

FP sighed.

"Get in the truck we need to talk,"

In the truck

"Angel, after you got arrested your mom and I use to fight a lot....I.... don't know how to say this.....your mom and I got separated," FP finally got it out.

"WHAT?!!!!"

"She took Jellybean with her to Toledo. They both live with your grandparents," FP explained.

Angel was silent in shock.

"Angel...Sweetheart, say something," FP begged her.

Her silence always scared him.

"So, it's just you and Jugbug at the trailer?"Angel asked.

"Well..."FP began.

"She took both of them?" Angel looked more broken than ever.

"No, but he hates me and refuses to come home until I get my act together. And we both know how hard that is for me, " FP told her.

"Jugbug doesn't hate you, dad, " Angel shook her head.

"You think highly of your little Jugbug don't you?" FP voice was teasing but anyone could see the hurt in his eyes.

"Where does he live? Don't tell me the Andrews," Angel groaned.

Angel wasn't fond of the Andrews since she found out what Fred did to FP. Sure her dad wasn't perfect. He had a drinking problem but that did not give Fred the right to completely cut her father from Andrews Construction.

"No, the drive-in," FP informed.

"He lives at the Twilight drive-in?" Angel questioned.

"Yeah don't worry serpents are watching over him, " FP smirked.

"How is everybody?" Angel smiled.

"Good, we have a lot of new young serpents," FP told her.

"Really?"She smiled.

"Yeah, but back to the topic at hand. Now that your mom, Jelly, and Jug are gone. I completely understand if you don't want to live with me. I mean let's face it I'm-" He was cut off.

"Stop right there dad. I'm not leaving ever," Angel said in a stern voice.

"But I'm a mess," FP argued.

"Messes can be cleaned up, "

FP seemed uncomfortable with this sentence.

"Anything else you want to tell me, " Angel raised an eyebrow
