Chapter THIRTY-SEVEN

I stiked a pose for the camera grinning, I was enjoying myself because Adrien and Nate were in the photoshoot with me. I threw my arms around their shoulders grinning even wider.. When suddenly an ad played in the T.V up front.

"Tonight! For the first edition of face-to-face.. you're gifted an opportunity of a lifetime. A chance to meet your favorite superheroes Labybug, Hermosa Pavone and Chat Noir live, along with me Nadja Chamack.." my eyebrow twitched.. the interview was supposedly scheduled tommorow! I raised a hand getting the attention of the head photographer.. "We'll be revealing some sizzling hot information about your favorite superheroes!"

"May I be excused for a moment? I need to make an important phone call" I excused myself. The head photographer nodded and signalled both Nate and Adrien to continue posing.. they both did so awkwardly. I went out of the room and into another.. Nappy jumped out of my purse in panic..

"Sizzling hot revelations? _(Your Name) you're a superhero! You have to remain a mystery! To protect yourself from Hawkmoth and other supervillains." I smiled at her.. patting her head with my finger..

"It's supposedly, just because the three of us wanted to assure the people of Paris that we would always be there to keep them safe. But then again.. how can I forget about the interview?!" I asked myself and dialled Mari's number..

"Hello? What up _(Your Name)" She answered.. I'm glad she's feeling better.

"I won't be making it to the interview tonight.. but you can.. right?" I heard her fall off somewhere and the phone landed on to what I assume to be the floor.

"What do you mean tonight?! The show is tomorrow.." my eyebrow twitched, it is as they say.. Birds of the same feather, flocks together. "..Today I have babysitting! And..- erm you know.." a wave of guiltiness hit me directly in the face..

"I'm sorry Mari.. I shouldn't have.." I heard her freak out..

"N-no, no! I'm Sorry _(Your Name).. I'm sorry if I made you feel guilty.. I'm still, just scared.. I hope you understand.." the line then went out. I clenched my fist.. I shouldn't feel sorry for Mari.. She doesn't need it!

"It's okay _(Your Name) Mari will be okay, I'm sure whatever's happening, Tikki would help her through it, just like I to you.. and Plagg to his holder" I smiled rubbing her head affectionately..

"I'm sure you would Nappy.. you're the best Kwami.. ever!" She giggled

Adrien left for an emergency as he called it so here I am stuck beside the phone waiting for Mom's call.. I fidgetted from under the desk, mom's secretary and my mangaer was in the room leaving no space for me to sneak away to..

"Oh! I just remembered something! I forgot to tell the office about the dresses they sent the other day.. they're in the designers downstairs.. you won't mind waiting for Mom's call for me right?" They looked at each other giving me suspicious glances.. I stood up and walked towards the door but my manager stopped me..

"We are not allowed to get you out of our sight.. your mother entrusted you to us.." I rolled my eyes.. I wish Miranda was here, she would tell them off..

"I understand.. but, hear this.. I really need to go to the bathroom.. please?" The two glanced at each other, and that was when I knew they were not about to budge. I'm going to be LATE!

"As I stated.. we are not allowed to let you out of our sights while you're in this building! I'm sorry young miss.. however your request must be denied.." I let out an exhasperated sigh. THIS? Is getting nowhere! I sat back down crossing my arms across my chest.. Nappy poked her head out of my purse. I widened my eyes to tell her to stay hidden, but she shushed me.. she rushed towards the telephone and as she went past it.. it rung. I grinned silently as I looked over to the two.. before they both got to the phone, I grasped it in my hand giving them a teasing smile..

"Hey mom.." no response, because there wasn't really a phone call.. "yeah.. they weren't allowing me out the door.. would you tell them off for me?" The two looked absolutely terrified.. "so you're putting me in charge? Really?" I exclaimed in fake happiness.. "I might as well.. after all, they were doing a pretty lousy job at keeping me in order" I saw Nappy stiffling a laugh while the two had sweat running down their foreheads.

"After the commercial break, Nadja Chamack will be joined on stage by Ladybug, Hermosa Pavone and Chat Noir for the exclusive interview.." I stiffened..

"Okay Mom.. would you like to talk to them?" They both looked absolutely terrified as of right now.. "Oh?.. then okay. Yes mom.. I'll go home now.. uhuh.. stay safe.." I made a kissy sound but it wasn't meant for Mom.. oh no, it was directed to Nappy who giggled..

"So uhh Young Miss.. wh-what did Madame say?" I answered with a teasing smirk.

"Guess.." I then strutted out the door savouring Nappy and I's victory..
