Chapter FORTY-FIVE

I slumped on my bed groaning.. great! I just ruined my night.. not only that, I ruined everyone's night. Alya, Mari and Millen are probably mad at me.. they probably hate me know! I whimpered..

"Now now _(Your Name)! Whatever happened earlier.. is done so don't get too worked up about it.." Nappy stated as she patted my head trying to comfort me.. I looked down..

"But I was rude to Andre.. not only to him, but also to my friends.. Oh Nappy, what have I done?!" I whimpered once more, covering my face with my hair.. I didn't wait for her reply and simply decided to head out of the room and out on my balcony, enjoying the breeze the beautiful night had to offer.. I closed my eyes enjoying the vibrant colors of all the establishments in Paris.. a light thud resounded and I turned around sharply.. _(Eye Color) clashed with green colored ones. I blinked. "Chat Noir?" I questioned, inching farther from him..

"Hello.." he sighed out. Jumping from the roof down to the balcony rails. "I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to frighten you" I shook my head returning to my original position which was leaning onto the rails..

"Nah.. it's nothing.. Just, what are you doing here in the middle of the night?.." I questioned, eyes gazing at the North Star. "Don't you have any super hero-ey things to do?" I asked suddenly fiddling with my fingers..

"Nah.. I don't feel like being a superhero tonight.. but I also don't feel being alone tonight.. mind if I hung out here for a little bit?" I gave him a smile and nodded. He turned around and faced the direction I was looking into earlier.. "_(Your Name).. we've bumped into each other a bunch of times.." he trailed off.

"Ye-yeah.. you had to save me from getting kidnapped by a supervillain, because he apparently likes me.. talk about bad luck huh?" I stated quietly..

"Seriously? I seem to be the one having bad luck in the love department.." he stated, not even bothering to look over at me..

"Really? How so?"

"Well.. tonight I had this, special surprise planned out for Hermosa.." I stiffened. My memory suddenly on fire as I remembered his invitation.. bu-but.. wait!

"You-you're.. in love with Hermosa?" I squeaked.. with widened bug eyes as I awaited of his answer.. so all this time, he and I had a mutual understanding.. and here I was, always thinking that whatever we had was a game to him.. I wanted to slap myself on the forehead, right there and then. Silence was his reply.. however I didn't mind. Silence, I truly did need. A minute had passed and I decided to take a glance at him, only to find him glancing at me too.. with a bright red blush I turned away.. "so.. what was the special surprise?" He sighed..

"It.. doesn't really matter, cause in the end.. she never showed" I felt bad.. But I too was hurt, sorry Chat..

"I guess we both needed some cheering up tonight.." I sighed, leaning my head onto my palm..

"So.. you've gotten your heart broken too?" He finally glanced at me

"Yup.." I replied sadly.. I looked at him from my peripheral vision, and noticed that he had a small smile gracing his pink lips.. he jumped off the rail and did a backflip landing just behind me.. had laid out a hand for me to hold on to..

"Hey.. come with me.." I grinned accepting his open palm. He then pulled me towards his chest. The next thing I knew, he had his arm on my back and the other behind my knees.. "just, close your eyes and.. hold on tight.. okay?" My grin lessened into a gentle smile. I nodded and leaned my head onto his chest, and wrapped my arms around his neck.. slowly.. I fluttered my eyes shut. And with the wind in my hair for a second.. maybe two, he placed me down.. his breath tickling my ear. "No peaking!!" He uttered teasingly.. "okay.. open 'em" my eyes lit up as I looked around. Everything was surreal.

"Woaaah!! Chat Noir! This is.." I didn't finish whatever I had to say, seeing his sad face.. made me feel regret for not coming to show up.. "I'm sorry.." I muttered..

"No.. don't be, it's not like it's your fault.." he stated sadly. Leaning onto his forearms that was supported by the ledge..

"No.. yeah.. I mean!" Marionette's clumsiness is really rubbing off on me.. I sighed.. "what I really meant was.. I'm sorry, for you! I mean, you prepared all this and she didn't show.." I stated sadly. Not just because Adrien didn't show up earlier.. but also, out of guilt.. I opened my mouth to say something.. but decided against it as I saw something approaching.. I grabbed onto Chat's waist and pulled him down, just as an ice cream had flung itself onto our direction.. reacting fast, he grasped my back and knees carrying me out of the rooftop we were on just a few seconds prior..

"_(Your name!!) Just a second ago you were so sad. Glaciator is here to make it better.." Chat Noir pushed me against a wall, his back hiding me and blending me with the shadows..

"Who's that? Another super villain, in love with you?" He questioned not believing.. my eyes widened..

"What?! No! I-it's Andre?" I questioned as I peaked over his shoulder, the body contact being a tad bit too much for me..

"Andre, the Sweetheart Ice cream guy? Hah! He doesn't look to sweet right now.." he carried me again but this time, he landed on my window pane. Hurriedly sliding the glass window open, he pushed me inside.. "Stay here _(Your Name) I'll lead him away from you.." I nodded. He turned his back from me but before he could jump out. I hugged him from behind. I felt him stiffen beneath my touch.. and I uttered..

"Thank you Chat Noir.. for cheering me up.."
