Ughhhhh.
Michael shoved the bookshops back door open with his knee and yawned loudly, heading into the coffee room.
Coffee sounds nice. He thought as he stashed his jacket and leather satchel into his cupboard, getting a cup ready to pour the boiled water into.

Michael began whistling "7 Days" by Craig David and walked out of the coffee room, opening the door with his back, coffee cup to his lips. He turned around and came face to face with Ora, their noses millimeters apart. Michael choked on his coffee and lowered his cup. Shocked being an understatement.

"H-hey, Michael." Ora smiled nervously.
"Ora! How are you?" He smiled a brilliant smile, automatically switching to his charming self. A few moments passed and confusion washed over his features. "Umm, should you be.. back here?" Michael furrowed his brow and looked over her shoulder for Imogen.

Ora moved her head to the left, blocking his view. "I.. actually work here now." She said with a big smile, causing Michael to lose himself in the sparkle of her eyes.
Get a hold of yourself, Michael. This can work in your favour.

Michael grinned back and move out of her way so that they stood sideways in the doorway. "Why did you apply here?" He asked innocently, provoking her.
"I just.. love books!" Ora said with a big smile.
Michael noticed that she was trying too hard at trying to conceal a secret motive.

"Hey, well, if you'd like, you can put your things away and make a coffee and I'll show you what book keeping here entails." Michael said gesturing to one of the "staff" cupboards.
"In this one?" Ora asked awkwardly.
"Yeah, that ones fine. We don't really have like certified pigeon holes for our stuff since its just me and Mo."

You can just print out a sticker with your name on it later if you want." Michael said, the two now walking up a slight incline to the bigger bookshelves.
"Thanks for being so nice this time." Ora said. Michael laughed and shrugged his shoulders, playing coy.
"This time.."

Later, on their lunch break.. which conveniently seemed to be at the same time.. Michael was propped up on the counter of the coffee room and Ora was sitting at the table, staring at something next to Michael. He followed her gaze to his open satchel, his can of Lynx body spray peaking out of it.
At first Michael was confused by Ora's calculating stare and even more confused by the vulnerability he felt in response. Until he remembered petting her cat.
Uh oh.

Michael quickly got up to hide it, making another coffee and rambling about people who dogear their books. Once the milk was in, he turned around, the cup half way to his lips when his heart stopped. Well, it had already stopped but you get the drift.

Ora had her hands in front of her on the table and was playing around with the most beautiful opal Michael had ever seen. Familiarity rushed through his veins and almost shook him back to the 500's.
This coffee has a bit of kick to it. Michael thought, brushing the feeling off, a little weirded out by it.

"Where'd you get that?" He asked, slipping into the chair opposite Ora. She looked up at him and furrowed her brow as if confusion had taken ahold of her as well.
"I, um, found it in the middle of the street." Thats strange.
"What were you doing in the middle of the street?" Michael asked as Ora quickly fumbled for a lie to excuse herself with. As she was rambling on, Michael was pulled into his own thoughts.

He knew that he didn't leave the stone there although he wasn't 100% sure that he had never seen it before which made Michael uneasy.
He pushed his thoughts to the back of his mind, the bright reflections of the opals colours, still lingering at the forefront and decided to continue with his "investigating".

He needed to know what Ora knows about her pasts, if she knew anything at all. The power he had sensed in his vision he had not seen since.. well, since Orána.
Michael mentally shook his head and rejoined the conversation, smiling enthusiastically at Ora.
"How about those drinks?"
