Diana turned to see Elias standing a couple feet away from them with the most deadliest expression plastered on his face. She has never seen him like that and she was beginning to worry at what he could do in such state.
"How nice of you to join us, Elias." The man spoke glancing at Diana who was terrified at the sight of two vampires speaking to each other.
"I will not repeat myself, Alastair." Elias replied in a deadly tone. He was getting furious by the minute and he didn't know if he wanted to tear this place apart or rip his cousin's head off.
"And I will not let her go before having my meal." Alastair responded smiling at Diana.
"You will do no such thing." Elias warned feeling the beast inside him taking over by the minute.
"That's where you're wrong." Alastair responded with a smirk. "She is royalty. A taste I've been craving for a long time."
Elias couldn't stand it anymore and in one swift motion, he ran to his cousin before he could sink his fangs into Diana's skin and plunged a hand deep into his chest.
Diana screamed at the sight of the man's heart lying on the floor beside its body as she shuffled a few steps back, knocking over one of the chairs. Her stomach began to feel funny and she hurriedly turned away with an attempt to run from the sight.
Elias quickly cornered her at the end of the isle and Diana immediately froze at the red material that stuck to the man's hands. She swallowed the lump that formed in her throat when he took a step towards her.
"Diana....." Elias began but couldn't find the words that he wanted to say. He knew she was now scared of him. That was what he feared might happen and yet it did. He took a couple steps closer wanting to calm her frightened figure but she held up a hand bringing his steps to a pause.
"Don't.....come.... any closer."
Elias felt as if his whole world had crumbled at hearing such words from Diana. He saw her wipe a tear from her eye and he lowered his gaze to the floor unable to stand the sight of her crying.
"Diana, please, are you hurt?" Elias questioned as the only thing that he could've come up with since he hoped Alastair hadn't touch her and because he really couldn't see her get hurt because of him.
Standing with trembling hands at her side, Diana sucked in a breath to calm her frightened nerves. "I'm fine."
"Princess!!" A voice shouted and Diana turned to see Artemis approaching her immediately taking her frame into her arms. "Are you alright?"
Speechless was the state that Diana was in and she stood frozen in her spot as the dark haired woman hugged her. She couldn't find the strength to move her limbs and hug back Artemis so instead, she stood there motionless in the embrace.
Elias immediately disappear from the scene as he knew Artemis would take care of everything. He knew Diana was hurt. Not physically but emotionally. She was terrified of whatever he did a moment ago and that was what he was avoiding ever since she came here. He didn't want her to see that side of him. It would pained him to the core to have her afraid of him. He couldn't afford that to happen. He will have to talk with her. Sooner or later.
________
"Have this, my Princess." Artemis handed a cup of warm milk to Diana. She knew the Princess was still in shock from the events that took place a few moments ago but there was nothing she could do to convince her otherwise. She had witnessed everything and Artemis knew such a tragic activity can cause any human heart to second guess its functioning. She herself had been there and done that.
