And tadaa, another chapter.

I'm aiming to upload a chapter per week, but I don't want to make any promises in case I let you guys down. Plus my finals are approaching again (They're next week I haven't done shit) and during that time I always either underestimate or overestimate hee free time I have.

So I hope to have another chapter up by next week.

Anna's P.O.V

Oh. My god. This is driving me insane. Devin has been sleeping for 2 weeks and 4 motherfucking days. WHY. CAN'T. HE .WAKE. UP. Like seriously, I'm starting to think he's not even comatose anymore and he just taking an endless nap.

You know how there are like emergency buttons on the side of each bed in hospitals. Well here at St. Russel, the hospital Devin and I are staying in, you also have a grey button to call a doctor without giving him a heart attack, thinking one of their patients is dying. I'm supposed to hit that button on Devin's bedside if he wakes up and you don't wanna know how bad I want to smash it to pieces once he does

But the problem here is, THE PRICK'S STILL SLEEPING!

I have a phone again and I call a lot with Jace, Brad and Ayla, but eventually you run out of things to talk about and they have lives as well, so I end up either drawing, fixing some boring bullshit that comes with living on yourself or catch up on some schoolwork since that still exists. Ever since I made that drawing of Devin, I made a lot more. I always make pictures of the silly faces my friends make in their sleep so I drew those as well and now I can hang them up on a wall and just laugh at my friends.

All the drawings I made are stacked on my bedside table, but the one of Devin is on top to make sure it's one of the first things he sees once he wakes up.

I was staring at the wall again, lost in my thoughts, until my ringing phone snapped me out of it. I pick it up and spot the caller ID, It's Devin's mom.

"Hi Ms. Harvey." I greet her enthusiastically.

"How many times do I have to tell you? You can just call me Jolene. Heck, you can call me mom for all you like, I wouldn't care. I know you for nine years as well Anna, no need to be so formal." She scolds me.

"You know I'm not fond of calling people mom." I respond.

"I know child, but can you at least call me Jolene?" She pleads and I chuckle at her comforting motherly tone.

"I'll see how it goes, it just became a habit I never got rid of." I reply

"I noticed." She murmured. "Anyways, my husband and I actually need to depart for a fresh set business meetings this evening and we were hoping if you could take care of Devin once he's released from the hospital."

"Oh, of course. Is it an emergency again?" I ask and glance over at Devin.

"No, it's been planned a month in advance, but no one expected this to happen of course." She replied. "And we were hoping Devin had woken up by the time we had to leave, but he didn't and we can't back out anymore."

"Understood. Where are the others staying?" I wonder.

"Ashley is staying with a friend of hers and Dustin and Dodger are staying with my parents." She says.

"I'll keep you updated on Devin's condition, have a safe flight."

"Thanks for everything again child." She responds.

"No problem, you're welcome Ms-... Jolene." I correct.

Jolene laughs on the other side. "You're getting it, I'll hear from you. Bye Anna."
