It's my birthday, it's my birthday, imma spend my money.
It's my goddamn birthday AKA time to parteeeh and I definitely wanted to include my lovely Wattpad followers. Birthdays aren't completely about receiving , they're also about giving so I decided to upload a special bonus chapter for ya'll.It was mentioned in EHF that Devin once had a crush on Anna and since the vast majority of my loyal fans are dedicated Danna shippers, I decided to write a chapter about that time. Now you can all have a little taste of what it would be like if #Danna actually were to happen. You must be excited so I'll stop talking, enjoy, I wrote this chapter specially for you guys. <3
-----------------------14 year old Devin with a crush on Anna P.O.V
Today is Monday, meaning I get to go to school again to see Anna, I hope she made it through the weekend okay. Oh and Jace too.
I walked through the doors and step foot in the almost empty hallways.
Anna's usually really early at school so she doesn't have to stay at the mansion with her cousin for too long. I wanted to join her so I came early as well today.
I walk towards the cafeteria where she usually is, eating breakfast and drawing or something. The school knows about it so they don't care.
When I enter the cafeteria I see Anna in her usual spot, doing her usual thing. Drawing, eating a sandwich and humming a random song in the far right corner of the cafeteria, right next to the cursed window.
It's cursed because you can't close it. It has been open for over a year now and nobody has been able to close it again. During the winter months it can get a little chilly in here because of it, but Anna really seems to like the breeze no matter what time of the year it is.
I walk up to the table and sit down next to her. I frown when she doesn't notice I'm here and poke her in the shoulder. Her head snaps around and she gets an iron grip on my hand as a defensive reflex.
Her expression is startled and hostile, but it immediately softens when she recognizes me and she let's go of my hand in an instant.
"Oh I'm so sorry Chamy, I didn't mean to scare you." I apologize in a hurry.
"Don't be. I should be the one apologizing, I didn't hurt you did I?" She asks worried.
"Of course not." Kinda.
"If you say so." She smiles. "What brings you here so early?"
"Oh well Dustin and Dodger were really annoying and Ashley wasn't really helping so I decided to leave early." Lies, I just wanted to see you before anyone else.
"I didn't knew you were ready that soon." She points out. She doesn't look like she's completely buying my story, but she doesn't question it any further.
"What are you drawing?" I asks eagerly.
"You remember that tree Jace, you and me used to climb all the time, but then some pricks decided to get rid of it?" She asks me.
"Of course I do. The removal was only a couple of months ago." I reply.
"Well that's what I'm drawing, as far as I remember how it looked like of course." She says and slides the paper towards me.
The general lines are already there but you can see it's still a work in progress.
"It's coming along great. You even drew the broken branch with the swing that landed on me when I sat down one time." I laugh.
"Thanks." She says with a shy smile.
"That reminds me, what is it that Jace keeps teasing you about? He's always shooting you this knowing smirk and stuff." She wonders.
