Toms POV
They hurt me. I couldn't do anything. I wanted to do something! They hurt me... I want to make them pay.
I look up at the bullies. They punch me in the eye. "Can't get a black eye if you have no eyes! Freak-show!" Patricia yells, laughing.
"Yeah! You're so idiotic and weak! Look at this bear!" Alicia yells.
She rips the bear apart. I growl. Leaping at her. I punch her.
"WHY?!" I yell. I hear nearby voices. Which are unrecognisable.
An adult bends down and checks my eye. It's a male in their mid 20s.
"Are you alright?" They ask me. I nod slowly, wincing when they touched my eye. "Your eyes are pretty." They picked me up and carried me to the front desk.
"Are you sure you want this one? There are better ones, like Alicia or Patricia." The lady asks.
"No, they're not better. They bullied him and ripped his bear apart. He did the right thing." The male states, telling the truth.
"Well if he breaks everything, it won't be my fault." The lady says.
A kid around my age waves at me. I step behind the person who is going to adopt me.
"Papers. Now." The male says. Demanding, not asking. The lady nods, passing them to the man. He signs them.
"Cmon!" He says. "Let's get you home."
In the car.
The green kid asks me "What's your name?" I deliberately sat away from them so I didn't have to speak to them. Guess I'll have to. Ugh.
"T-Tom.." Wow, you messed that up tom, way to go! Green person 100, tom, 0!
"Nice to meet you! I'm Edd!" His eyes flashed. I wish mine could do that. Sadly I have black eyes. Edd sticks out his hand, expecting a handshake.
"I-I don't do handshakes, thanks." I push his hand down, dismissing the shake.
"You sound funny!" Edd says. Tom sounds like MMM GET ME SOME CRUMPETS AND TEA CHILD what
I look down. Offended. "I didn't mean it in a bad way, it makes you sound proper and smart!" Edd smiles. I smiled slightly.
"Kids! We're home and- oh my god."
