As I walked on to set, I felt horrible. I was sick beyond compare and was up kept up all night with my consistent coughing, so I got absolutely no sleep last night. What didn't help was the constant reminder that I had to be up at 5 in the morning to head out to set for a scene that needed to be shot at dawn. So, I tried to shake the sicky feeling away but no matter what I do or what I take I could not get the splitting headache that I have had for feels like forever but only been a day, to go away. I felt like there was absolutely no help. Just stepping into the light killed my eyes and made my headache that much worse.
My mother had told me to just call in today, but I ignored her because I knew that this scene had to be done today for it to be edited and the whole episode be put together. So, I just sucked it up, well partially anyway, and walked to my trailer. Once I got inside I saw that they had already placed what I was to wear for the scene on the small table. It only took 1o minutes to change into the outfit and after I looked over at the clock just to notice that I had only had about an hour to get hair and makeup done to be fully, somewhat, ready for shooting in time for call.
With a sigh I grabbed my sunglasses from their spot on the small counter and walked out of my trailer and down to the makeup trailer. I let out a sigh, this time one of relief, once I made it into the makeup trailer which had dimmer lights than the sun shining outside. Everyone turned to me once I had stepped inside and they all greeting you with a simple good morning which I replied with a small smile. I sat down in the chair next to Jared it was then that I took my sunglasses off and sat them in my lap. I rubbed my temples slowly and leaned back in the chair to let one of the hair stylist to start on my hair.
"Damn, (Y/N/N), you look like hell." Jared pointed out as he looked over at me. He then stood, walked to short distance between his chair and mine and squatted down to where he was at my eye level. "What's wrong?" he questioned, and I could hear the concern in his voice as he spoke.
"What's wrong with me?" I let out a small sarcastic laugh before explaining what I had been dealing with for the past few days. "I'm sick, tired, and have a more than splitting headache that just won't go away no matter what I do to make it to." I closed my eyes and leaned my head back only slightly. I felt Jared's hand being placed and start rubbing up and down my arm at a slow, comforting pace.
"Have you taken anything for it?" he asked, and I nodded slightly.
"Yeah, but not since last night though, seeing as nothing will help." I explained with a slight sigh and then opened my eyes once more.
'Did you get any sleep last night? Any at all?" he asked. After the accident where I collapsed few months ago everyone has been keeping a close eye out for me always. Jared more than most.
I shook my head and said, "My coughing kept me up all night and every time that I thought it settled down and I could finally get some sleep, it would start back up again." I saw the worry written on his face when I finally looked back at him.
After I had explained the events of the night before, he placed the back of his hand on my forehead. "Why the hell did you come in today? You're burning up."
"I knew that this scene needed to be done and I didn't want everyone to have to wait another day to get it done. That's another day that everyone spends away from their families and I know that everyone wants to go home." I confessed.
Jared sighed and then stood in his spot. "Just know that today I'm going to be keeping a close eye on you and then I'm taking you home and staying there until you get better." He sat back in the chair he was in before to let the stylists finish their work, putting every cute and bruise onto his face where they needed to be.
