Valentine's day

Valentine's Day was finally here. The only holiday Wyatt didn't like

The only reason he didn't like it was because he never had anyone special to celebrate it with

He slouched at his desk In homeroom waiting for the kids with roses to come around and for him to be the only person to not get one

Every year for Valentine's Day their school sells roses for you to send to a special someone as a surprise

Wyatt had never received one before but he was sure it felt nice

Eventually the girls came around and called out names of the people who were lucky enough to have someone

"Rachel...Oscar...Sam...Finn...Bella...Wyatt-"

Wyatt's head shots up

"Wyatt come get your rose" the girl at the front called because Wyatt still hasn't moved yet

Wyatt blushed slightly and stood up

He walked to the front where the girl handed him his rose

He walked back to his seat smiling like crazy even though it was just a rose

They continued to call names but Wyatt cold only focus on his rose

He looked at the tag that was tied around the stem in red ribbon which read

'Wait what the fuck? What does this mean?' Wyatt thought

He stared at the card that was lacking information in confusion and annoyance

He wanted his first rose to be special but the person that gave it to him only signed with initials

The rest of the remaining time he had he tried to think of all the people with initials J A

He could only think of about three and none of them made sense as all those people were dating someone else

He waisted another couple of periods thinking about the rose until lunch

He met his best friend Jaeden at his locker and then they headed to the front of the school to sit under a tree as it was shady there and no one would come near them and annoy them

"Just wondering but do you know anyone wth the initials J A?" Wyatt asked not wanted to mention the rose to Jaeden as he didn't get a rose and he didn't want him to feel bad

"Hmm...Julia Anderson..Jake Alan... Uh that's all I can think of off the top of my head" Jaeden said smiling and pulled out a packet of cookies which he would most likely share with Wyatt because he knows he loves them

"Yeah but they are in relationships"

"Ok? And your point is?"

"N-nothing never mind" Wyatt didn't feel hungry anymore

He was too anxious to find out who sent him the rose

The bell went for everyone to head to class and Wyatt and Jaeden said their goodbyes

As Wyatt was walking to geography he was stopped by the girls that were handing out the roses from this morning

"Wyatt, here's another rose. We were told to give it to you now" the girl handed him another rose with another card

He looked at it and it read

"Wait! You were told? By who?" Wyatt felt adrenaline through him

Even though he didn't know the first person he still wanted to know the second

"Uh..." the girls looked at each other then ran to class

Wyatt was confused and shocked at the way they were acting but those feelings faded away when he realised he had two roses and didn't know who either of them were sent by

Wyatt's Valentine's Day rose high was over and for the rest of the day he was back to his normal Valentine's Day disliking self

He held his roses and stared at them in displeasure as he walked to his bike to go home

He reached his bike and was about to put his helmet on when he noticed a rose placed delicately on his bike seat

He dropped his helmet on the ground and snatched up the rose

He fumbled with it to get the card but when he did it made him want to scream

'EN? Who the hell is EN? No one in my grade even has a last name starting with N? This is bullshit! I bet it's all a prank! JA ED EN! I bet some asshole probably thought it would be fu-'

Wyatt was about to throw the roses in the bin when he realised what he just said

He put the cards next to each other and read

Basket ball court
-JA ED EN

"Jaeden" Wyatt whispered and dropped everything he was holding but the roses and ran to the basketball court

When he arrived he felt his heart stop then start again when he found Jaeden standing in the middle of the court holding a bouquet of roses and a packet of cookies

"Hi" Jaeden said with a smile and blush

Wyatt didn't answer and ran up the him and wrapped his arms arounds the other boys neck

Jaeden couldn't hug back because his arms were full so he just giggled

"Happy Valentine's Day Wyatt. Will you go out with me?" Jaeden held the roses and cookies out slightly so Wyatt could take them

"Yes!" Wyatt took the roses and cookies from Jaeden and put them on the ground then pulled Jaeden into another hug

They pulled away smiling and Jaeden spoke up

"You thought that bitch Jake Alan did this?"

"I wouldn't have if the you just asked me out instead of making me go on a treasure hunt"

"You don't like it when I'm extra?"

"I love it when your extra!"

Jaeden picked up the roses and handed them to Wyatt who took them and pecked Jaeden's cheek in return
