Pippin POV

It was fun going to San Francisco, but I was happy to see Holly again. Truthfully, when she tackled me, I was terrified. I'd seen her fight. She could knock me out within seconds if she wanted to. I was relieved when she calmed down.

She raced off to the rock wall. "I bet I can beat you to the top," she challenged me. I gulped. I could see lava seeping out of it, and it was pretty high. Now I know what Holly feels like about heights. I wonder why she's not scared now.

"Okay," I finally agreed, my voice about an octave higher than usual. She coughed, but I think that was to hide her laugher.

"3...2...1...go!" We both set off.

I nearly got burned five times. Holly beat me by a landslide. I had barely started and she was already to the top. But she didn't go down until I was at the top.

I was exhausted. "Ready to go back down?" She asked, completely the opposite.

"What?!" Gods, we have to go back down?! Well, you can't jump, you'd break your neck, so that makes-

"Go!" Oh great, another race. At least I was a little closer to beating her. She still won, though. I was about halfway down when she called up that she won.

I groaned when I finally got down. "That was...exhausting."

"You need to go sit down?" Holly asked.

"No, I need to take a nap." I decided. She rolled her eyes but helped me to my cabin. When we got there, she took me in and shoved me onto my bed.

"I'll wake you for dinner," she told me, them winked and ran off. I immediately fell asleep.

~~~Line Break~~~
Holly gently shook me. "Pippin, wake up..."
I didn't feel like getting up, so I just laid there.
She sighed. Then she kissed me.
At this, I jumped up. She laughed. "I knew that'd work."
Like the genius I am, I said something really intelligent. I think it consisted of a lot of stuttering and random noises, but I wasn't really aware of it.
Holly turned red in the face. I quickly realized that it was from laughter.
"Hey!" I protested. Then she cracked up. She was laughing all the way to the dining hall.
"What's so funny?" Lily asked.
"Pippin majorly freaked out after I kissed him awake. I think he's going through puberty." My face burned as Lily burst out laughing. So that's why she's been laughing.
Holly smiled and hugged me. "You know I'm just teasing you, right?"
I nodded, not trusting my voice. She winked.
"It'll be over soon."
"You're such a liar," Lily snorted.
"You could've kept quiet and let me at least try to comfort him," she complained.
"I'm right here," I muttered.
"I'm not alone!" Daniel grinned. "My voice cracks all the time."
"I see what you mean," Lily said and the girls started laughing again.
He groaned. "I hate that you guys are nothing like normal girls, who like shopping and boys and stuff."
"We both have boyfriends," Holly pointed out.
He rolled his eyes. "You know what I mean!" Wow, he was right. His voice cracks a lot.
"What did Pippin do this time?" I looked up to see Will, one of my best friends before I moved. We're still pretty close, but he still doesn't really get the whole 'Greek god' thing. He's not the brightest.
"Hey Will," Holly grinned. "Pippin here is going through puberty."
He stared at her then blinked. "What?" Holly rolled her eyes. He also has a huge crush on her, and neither of us can get him to back off. Believe me, we've tried.
"Pippin's growing up," she said slowly, as if she was talking to a three-year-old. "Unlike you," I heard her mutter under her breath. I tried not to laugh.
"Dang it, I'm such an idiot," Holly muttered.
"Don't say that!" Will protested, but as usual she ignored him.
"I read my watch wrong," she told me. "Dinner isn't for another hour."
I grinned. Then I realized what she said. "You have a watch?"
Holly still was amused about my voice cracking, but she nodded. "Percy gave it to me."
"Why?"
She showed me the design. It had little mermaids all over it. Percy was a big Disney classic fan. He would watch The Little Mermaid over and over for weeks if he could.
"Never mind," I muttered. She laughed.
"Come on, I want to show you something." She dragged me off to her cabin.
I've never actually seen the inside of Holly's cabin before. I was sort of excited.
Only two people stayed here: Holly and Percy. They were the only children of Poseidon-in this generation, at least. Most of the other cabins had at least half a dozen.
It was obvious whose bed was whose. Holly's was very neat and tidy (unlike her locker at school-I'm just kidding, I'm just kidding, I love you! She's watching me write this. Seriously, you wouldn't stab your boyfriend, would you?!) and Percy's was very messy and unmade.
I grabbed her phone to get slight revenge on her for teasing me about puberty problems. "What do we have here?" I unlocked it (thanks for telling me your password Holly) and looked around.
"Give it back," she said warily and tried to grab it back, but I held it out of reach. I was only two inches taller than her, but it really helped in this situation.
She groaned as I turned away from her. I then started deleting all of her apps (sadly, she didn't have many).
"What are you doing?!" She yelled at me. I quickly threw my phone at her and it hit her in the nose. "Ow!" At that point I bolted.
"PIPPIN!!!" I hid behind the first person I could find-Percy.
"What did you do?" He asked me without even turning around. Most overprotective brothers hate their younger sibling's boyfriend/girlfriend, but Percy likes me. He said I'm good for Holly, which made me happy.
"She was teasing me about puberty, so I took her phone and deleted most of her apps." I admitted.
He snorted. "Good luck dealing with her, then." Sadly, he left me to deal with a very upset and pissed off Holly.
"Why the crap did you do that?" She demanded.
The words leaked out of me like a dam. I thought I was dead right then, but she grinned. "I've taught you well."
I blinked. "Y-you have?"
"Getting revenge on me? For once in your life? Good for you." This was a good thing? I remembered something Percy once said to me: 'Girls are a mystery that we'll never fully understand. If they say something, go with it if you want to live.'
I smiled, hopefully not looking too relieved. "Yep, I learned from the best." She smacked me playfully in the arm.
"I'd better get all of my apps back." She grinned and headed off towards her cabin.
"What just happened?" I wondered aloud.
"I don't know. We'll never fully understand them." Ashton said. He must have walked over when we were talking.
I nodded in agreement and walked off to my cabin, since I had nothing better to do.
(A/N this is like my longest chapter ever I feel like I'm actually achieving something yayyy 😂)
