Holly POV

Over the course of about two hours, I wandered around and talked with the new kids. Leo was really funny. He seemed insane though. Okay. I have nothing against that. I mean, I live with Percy.

Piper was pretty tough. Apparently she stole a car. But she said her dad's mortal...maybe she charmspeaked the car dealer. But she doesn't act like an Aphrodite kid...but hey, you never know.

Jason was very...serious. He had amnesia. I felt bad for him. I also felt bad for Piper, who had claimed she and Jason were dating. Hopefully they could figure it out.

At dinner time, I sat down at my table, alone for the third time. Until Leo sat down next to me.

My first instinct was to scoot away. I did. "What are you doing?"

"You looked lonely."

I sighed. "Normally, my brother sits next to me, but as you can see, he's gone."

"Well, I'll keep you company."

"You're not allowed to," I said simply.

"Yes I am! My cabin mates said I could." I heard snickering from the Hephaestus cabin.

"They tricked you," I said in exasperation. "Go back to your table." He got up and sat with his siblings.

Dinner was uneventful until Chiron called Annabeth up. He offered Jason a quest after that. I kind of forgot what else happened because a plan formed in my mind and I made it grow.

Immediately after dinner I walked up to Pippin. "Can I talk to you?"

He nodded and I dragged him off to my cabin. "I'm going looking for Percy in the morning."

His eyes widened. "By yourself?" He nearly screamed.

I smiled nervously. "Well..."

He grabbed my hand. "I'm coming with you, whether you like it or not."

"Oh good," I said, relieved. "I was forcing you to come anyway." He laughed.

Before long, Lily had screamed, "HEY ASHTON!!! GET ALL OUR OTHER BUDDIES OVER HERE!!!" Gods, I hate her for eavesdropping so much.

Ashton came over with the other five from my quest and all of Pippin's friends. Sadly, I knew that none of them would back down, and I would have to be responsible for them. I take more after Percy than either of my parents when it comes to responsibility.

"I explained everything," Lily said proudly. At least I didn't have to explain anything.

"Psst. Holly? Can you come here a minute?" I made sure Pippin wouldn't follow me when I walked over to Leo.

"Yes?" I said somewhat patiently.

"So, are you and I a thing now?"

I stared at him, wanting more than anything to slap him. "I already told you, I have a boyfriend!"

His face burned. "Sorry, I swear I didn't mean what I said. I blurt out random things sometimes." I shrugged. I do that too.

"Could we at least try to be friends?" He asked hopefully. I smiled. He seemed like a good friend to have, plus I need some good laughs every now and then.

"Sure," I said. "But don't make Pippin mad anymore, I can't hold him back much longer." He smiled nervously and ran off.

I laughed and ran back over to the others. "What did that idiot want this time?" Pippin asked.

"We're friends now," I informed him. "And I told him to back off, otherwise I'd let you loose." We all laughed except for Turner, but even he smiled.

"Guys, it's time to get serious-" I started.

"Dang it," Lily muttered.

"Only for a minute," I told her. "Are you sure you're in on this?"

"Of course we are!" Lily said. "We're not letting you go alone. Do you know where he is?"

"No," I admitted.

"So you're leading us to pretty much nowhere?" I didn't reply, but she grinned. "Even better!" Only Lily could do that.

Pippin smiled. "If anyone wanted to back down, they wouldn't have come."

"You guys are the best," I said gratefully. I suddenly realized how tired I was. Thank the gods I was so close to my cabin.

"I'm going to bed," I think I said. By this point, I wasn't sure of anything. Then I ran into my door.

"Watch out for that door," Lily advised playfully. Pippin opened it like the gentleman he is. Wait...that's not right.

"A bit late," I murmured, then walked in and collapsed onto my bed.
