Pippin POV
"Pippin? Were you here before?" Annabeth asked.
I sat up. "No. Percy's back if you want to see him."
She smiled and sat down next to me. "I already did. He told me about Holly."
At this point, I broke down. I couldn't take it anymore.
Annabeth was very kind and patient. She comforted me until I had no more tears.
"Holly will be fine," she assured me after I finished my breakdown. "She's really smart, and way stronger than she looks. She can handle this herself. I'm not saying she doesn't need you, I'm just saying that she knows what she's doing."
I nodded. I was still worried, but she had raised my spirits a little.
I went out and to the Hermes cabin. Travis Stoll was on his way out.
"Where are you going?" I asked him. He muttered something about Katie Gardner then ran out.
"He's asking out Katie," Lily informed me from somewhere in the cabin.
"About time," I muttered. He's had a not-so-secret crush on her since I first came to camp, probably even before that.
She laughed. "No kidding. Come on in, Daniel's here too."
I came in and knocked Daniel off his bed. I got comfy while he yelled at me.
Lily came out of her hiding spot and grinned. I screamed and threw a pillow at her.
"Someone's jumpy," Daniel observed. He shoved me off and got back on his bed. I rolled my eyes and got onto another one.
"Jason, Piper, and Leo came back," Lily said. "They know what's going on with Holly." Within ten seconds I was knocking on the Zeus cabin door.
Jason opened it. "Do you need something?"
"You know Holly Jackson, right?" I asked.
"Not incredibly well, but yeah. Let me guess, you're her boyfriend. Pippin." I nodded.
"Look, you're not going to take this well. And I don't know how long this will last for. But she had prepared for this a while ago, so she knows what will happen, except for this last part." He was silent.
"Well?" I demanded. "What's going on?"
He sighed. "There's a Roman camp. Camp Jupiter. Hera was planning on taking Percy there, but Holly interfered. She took his place. Hera wasn't very happy about this. Holly's going to the camp, and she'll lose her memory like I did, but she might not get it back."
If I didn't see the serious look in his eyes, I would've called him a liar. But I knew it was true.
"It'll all work out," he told me. "I can promise you that you guys will have a happy ending."
"Wonder how long that'll take," I muttered. I hadn't meant to sound so harsh, but he was right when he said I wouldn't take it well.
"Go on to the dining pavilion," he said. "Explain what I told you. They'll start a search party, and if they find her she might remember everything again." I didn't really believe that, but I headed down to the dining pavilion anyway.
I didn't say a word. Lily did. Apparently Jason had told her too.
Everyone was shocked. "Why the heck would she do that?" Someone asked.
"Because we have the same fatal flaw," Percy said. His voice caught a little. "We'll do anything to protect the people we truly care about."
(Well that's the end of the sequel! I did not mean for it to be this short, but it just kind of happened.
Do the crappy ending dance 💃💃💃 I really should've ended that better but OH WELL
Obviously, I changed SON. But it will all work out, so quit crying about it.
So goodbye, I hope you enjoyed this, and watch for the 3rd book!)
