So its been an entire week since I woke up at the castle and made an agreement with Zen to play along with his request. It has been quite a lot of fun actually, and I got along with everyone in our little group. Even so I was still wary of the guards and nobles in the area. Today though I was sitting in a tree making arrow heads. I had made my own for quite awhile now when I could find the supplies.

Letting out a sigh I looked out over the gardens as Shirayuki and Ryu picked some Roka with their masks on. Obi was inside helping while I waited outside to watch for any trouble, things had just seemed to quiet for my liking lately. When things were this quiet something always went wrong soon after. "Ah, maybe this place just is more peaceful than what I'm used to. That would be a change of pace." I mumbled as I sanded down the shaft for my next arrow, the quiver hanging from the branch next to me.

After a few more hours they started walking out with the baskets and I hopped down taking a few from Ryu. I stayed back observing how they all spoke and seemed to glow when they smiled. I had gotten used to watching this daily event even though Ryu never seemed to hold much emotion himself he still participated. It honestly confused me to watch them but this was the place I'd decided to stay till the end of the week. And that week had come to an end, this was my last errand for the day before I was going to be released to speak with Zen.

We finally arrived in storage to put up the new bottled Roka and I bowed to take my leave, Obi seemed to be watching me closely today. I wasn't sure why but I assumed that it was because I was his partner and he wasn't sure I was well enough to be running around like I had been for the past three days. I was honestly feeling much better and wasn't having any issues during training. I beat him every time we spared and it had gotten to the point I wasn't even winded anymore.

In my opinion I was good to leave back to my old life, back to the way I was used to doing things. Yet even so something kept nagging me in the corner of my mind about the whole thing. Even so I arrived to a tree close to Zen's room, waiting for him to call out to me to arrive at his window. I was listening to him speak with this Lord Haruka about something that I didn't really care about. My green hood up covering my face from view as usual, I had noticed the looks I got around the castle when I walked around with it down. So I usually left it up unless I was on my room speaking with Obi or speaking with Zen in his study.

"(Y/n) you have ten seconds." I heard my name and was up on his balcony in five.

"You called for me mister?" I asked eyeing the lord in the room. I'd seen him around the castle but he never really paid me much mind as long as I kept on my way beside Obi. Yet I could never miss the stare that he usually held looking at me.

"You dare address the Prince in such a matter. Prince Zen I must insist you be rid of this outsider at once." I put my head down further trying to keep my eyes from view. I knew that most of the lords didn't like me but he was even more vocal about his distain than the others. That was until I heard the whistling of the wind by something similar to an arrow.

I immediately jumped up pulling them both down to the floor, the arrow clipping my shoulder in the process. "Mister, if I might be excused for a moment." I said sitting up and looking over the edge before looking back to his eyes. He nodded and I jumped down into the trees pulling my knife before running to face the assailant. I caught a glimpse of Obi walking past to jump into Zen's room before loosing him in the tree line. It was still my duty to protect the people of the castle until Zen agreed to let me leave.

So I did my job taking down the new assassin and handing him over to the guards before going back to Zen's balcony. He was there with Kiki, Mitsuhide, Obi and Shirayuki doing his usual desk work. I knocked on the glass before jumping back into the edge, the dark of the night making my figure darker than it would have been a few minutes ago. "Ah, your back. Did you manage to catch him?" I nodded but didn't say anything in response. He waved a hand for me to follow him into the office.
