Hang On

It has been about three or four days and she still hasn't woken up. Sure Shirayuki was keeping an eye on her but there was not really anything she could do. Even so I would spend my days like always, helping Shirayuki and Zen. He seemed worried about her as well, I suppose he was worried that when we woke her up we shouldn't have. Kiki and Mitsuhide had tried to keep him distracted but I could tell they were worried as well.

Today though I was sitting in the room while Shirayuki wondered off to find a different herb to try out. I was sitting next to (Y/n) just looking out the window, I almost wished that I was sparing with her. She defiantly knew how to keep me on my toes when we fought, and now that I thought about it Mitsuhide as well. It was strange how she could tell where exactly to throw a punch or swing the sword to catch you off balance.

She was beautiful the way she moved to avoid a hit with such a fluid movement, and that first time she actually laughed catching all of us off guard. I would do anything to hear that laugh again, to see her eyes open so that I could stare and loose myself in those red and blue irises she had. Sure I liked Shirayuki... but she had Zen and I wasn't going to do something like steal her from him. She had made her choice.. but (Y/n) she didn't seem to like anyone, she was just wary of us.

She has been on her own and the few people she did have contact with wanted her to sell or something crazy like that. Even the noble lords, they tried to claim the girl with rare hair and eyes. In some ways she was much like Shirayuki but her attitude and personality were completely the polar opposite. Shirayuki had people that cared for her.. but who did (Y/n) have? Who protected her?

As far as I could tell from what  she had told me she had always been on her own, always been on the run. The best thing now.. She had us. She wouldn't have to run anymore, she could stay. "Mmm.. Obi..?" Looking down I could see her eyes opening slowly, I almost didn't believe it.

".. (Y/n) you're awake?" I placed my hand to the side of her face, she gave me that amused chuckle and a soft smile.

"Yeah, what happened cat eyes? Miss me?" She said before moving to sit up.

"Oh, no you don't. You are going to lay down until the miss gets back. She is going to want to check on that.. umm.." I stopped not wanting to bring the memory back. Her eyes just stared at me cold for a moment before she sat up.

"It's alright Obi, you can say it. You want Red to check on my new insignia that the Lord so graciously gave me. I'm not mad about it you know, I will on the other hand be angered if you treat me like fragile china." Her cold glare dissipating as soon as she looked at my face to be replaced with that smile. Her eyes closed as she did so like she was trying to tell me everything was fine.

I honestly didn't know what was happening because my mind moved before my body did. My eyes were closed and I could feel her lips under my own, surprised at how soft they were. Her hands held by my own sitting on the bed. When I opened my eyes after backing away I heard a crash behind me. Shirayuki's face was beet red as she stared at me then turned to set her eyes on (Y/n). I did the same. She was a light pink that spread all the way to her ears as she sat there completely shocked.

"Ah.. oops, well I should be on my way to tell master that you woke up. I'll be back later." And with that I jumped out the window leaving the two shocked females behind. As I ran to see Zen I raised my partly gloved hand up to my mouth, I think I just messed up big time.

((Y/n) POV)

I had tried to give Obi a reassuring smile after practically giving him the death glare after he had just kind of tip toed around the whole incident. But before I knew what was happening Obi was holding my hands down on the bed and his lips covering my own. I didn't know what to do as I sat there I couldn't even breath. I could feel the blood rush to my face before a crash rang out as Obi backed away to see what happened.
