Finding Her Again

"What do you mean she's gone?!" Zens voice came clear as day as I aproached the room. "Scour the castle, guardens and forest we need to find her before Lord Brother finds out she left." He said as I opened the door to the room. There was a maid who gave a bow before leaving with the orders.

"Hey, master what's going on?" I asked looking around the room. Zen was the only one in the office right now.

"It's (Y/n), she disappeared last night. I need for you to search her room and see if you can find a clue as to where she went." I nodded and turned to leave, and closing the door behind me. I remembered how angry she was yesterday about the letter Izana received. She might have run away, I wouldn't put it past her. When I arrived in her room I almost couldn't open it, but I needed to find her.

Walking in made the whole place feel empty so I started looking in the drawers. Nothing. Next was the desk, everything was neat and tidy, a single envelope resting in the middle with Zen's name. It was heavier than it would have looked and seemed to have something inside it but I needed to get it to Zen.

"Obi, you're back did you find anything?" I nodded holding out the envelope. "What's this?" He opened the seal pulling out a letter first, followed by the necklace that I gave (Y/n).

"That is the necklace I gave her during open castle day after I found her..." I said taking it in my hand. Why did she leave this here? I held it close as Zen read the letter over, his eyes wide as he did so. When he finished reading he clenched his fist handing it to me. I carefully scanned over it, not once but twice. She was gone without saying a word to any of us. Just a letter. "Master... can I go search for her?" I asked carefully.

It felt like she abandoned me, but then how could I blame her. I worked for Zen, she might think I would turn her in. Even so I couldn't help but feel hurt. "Obi.. sure. You have a week and if you need take a horse." I nodded and bowed taking my leave quickly. I needed to find her.

((Y/n) POV)

I've been going for a day and a half without stopping. I was exhausted now and needed to sleep or else I wasn't going to be able to continue. Finding a tree I scrambled up to the top branch and lay back. "We've ben out here for three days, are you sure she is coming through here?" I heard footsteps walking below me, glancing down I could see four guard looking men. I moved further into the shadows to listen.

"Positive. There was going to be no way she would return to the kingdom willingly, so she would have to run. Split into pairs, search the area." I watched as a fifth large burly brown haired man walked up to the four guards. "Also, search the trees and caves. She will try to hide from us." I growled to myself, how did I fall for a simple trick like this. I should have known they wouldn't let me walk that easily.

So I waited for about an hour after they all left, this area was no longer safe to hide in. Careful to flee without leaving the trees or making a sound I quickly headed further east. Not the ideal area to be running but better than staying here and getting captured. I went that way for about three hours when I slipped falling from my next perch landing on my back. I groaned moving to sit up. "Did you hear that?"

"Yeah, it came from behind us. Do you think it was her?" Now I really needed to move, there was a cliff to my right, if I hurried I might be able to start scaling  it before anything went wrong. Scrambling to my feet I ran for the cliff only to see the guards standing in my path. "There is that her?"

"I'd say so, they are the same size. Lets hurry this up and get back to the boss." I groaned pulling out my knives and charging for them. It took me about two minutes to knock out the first guard before the second one came at me from behind. I dodged and attacked him just managing to get in a good hit when a sharp pain flooded my side. I gasped and looked behind me, it was the big burly man.
