Bobby's POV

        A year has passed since I had left Mai. I was saddened, but also scared by the fact that she was so vicious. The guy who had taken me was actually my uncle. He was sent by my father because he was worried about me. But the thing is, I thought that was hypocritical given the fact that he didn't do anything when the rest of the kids were beating me up and giving me bruises.

        Anyways, when my uncle had taken me, of course I was screaming for Mai. I didnt want to go back to that place of torture they call home. However, when I saw one of the pack leaders inject something into Mai's neck, something scary happened. "Look little boy. You see that girl who was taking care of you? Look how she's acting. She's tearing up the place with her violent acts. She is not someone you should be living with. At any moment like this she could snap and you could end up dead. It's much safer at the pack house." This is what my uncle told me. "Now hurry, this illusion for her wont last forever and then she will come hunt us down."

        Then uncle lead me away, carying me on the shoulder.

And now that I'm 16, and with a mate, I sit in our bedroom thinking, was Mai really the vicious girl that my young self thought she was?
