As we walked inside the house, I held onto Mai's hand tightly. I stared into her eyes and remembered the time where......

  About two months after we kissed, we were already dating. Yes, we kissed a lot and sometimes slept in the same bed together. But one night, Mai comes to my room crying. "What's wrong?" She just shaked her head andlaid next to me on the bed. After a while of silence, she started to cry even more. "Why?" she asked the air. She moved even closer to me and buried her head into my neck. I held her tightly and just stayed silent. After a while she spoke to me. "Today is the anniversary of my family's death. I-I'm sorry for coming here so late, it probably bothers you. I should leave-" Her crying face at the moment was so beautiful. I couldn't resist kissing her. I wiped away all her tears and held her close. "Stay." 

  I sat on the sofa with Mai in my lap while Zander sat on the couch. "So tell me, why are you here?" I asked Zander. "Well, I saw you in that store before, and I haven't seen Mai anywhere lately so I followed you guys." Mai was leaning on my arm that was hurt so it pained but I didn't mind. "Oh yeah that reminds me!" She jumped off of me and ran out of the room.

  "I wonder what she forgot?" I asked myself. As soon as she was out of the room I asked "So why did you dump your mate?" As soon as he heard this he rushed towards me and grabbed my shirt. He was injured as well so he stagggered a bit but it was okay becasue he was an alpha and he heals quickly. "You knew she was my mate and you guys are still a couple? I'll kill you!" he growled in my face. He sniffed the me and noticed the smell of Mai all over it. Like our scents were mingled together. "YOU EVEN HAD SEX WITH HER!" "First of all, you were the one that let go of her. You forced her to forget her memories of you. So why are you acknowledging her as your mate? Second of all, I love Mai. Eversince I first saw her. So don't freakin growl in my face for the mistake you made. She's mine now so back off!" I shoved him off me and growled back at him. He glared at me. I heard Mai coming back. "Bryant! Sit down so I can wrap your arm." I looked at her with loving eyes. It felt good that someone cared about me. "Mai, you do know that I heal quickly, we're werewolves remember?" "Yeah but I don't want it to leave a scar." She put medicine on it and wrapped a bandage on it. She kissed the bandage and whispered. "Please don't scar him." She put a hand on my arm and looked at Zander. "Bryant? Why is he still here? He attacked you!" He looked furious. "I was just leaving." was all he said and slammed the door shut. I waited for him to leave the area before saying, "He made a mistake, and now he is messed up. You shouldn't worry about it.

I still remember the day where Mai had her heat for the first time. It was a week after she cried in my room over her dead family. In the morning, we went shopping for clothes that wouldn't rip when we shifted. Since we lived near the area of a pack of werewolves, they should have stores with clothes like those. After that we went on a date. "Bryant.." Mai looked like she was in a very emotional state. I didn't really know why. "Mai.. what's wrong?" Her scent was starting to have an effct on me. I looked at her even more and I just craved her. Every bit of her. "Bryant I.." We had to get out of here. At least before any other wolf sees. She can't be going through heat.. right? The I remembered something I read back at Andrew's place.

She-wolves often go through heat within the presence of the person that they love (preferably their mates) after a couple of months with them. This heating process can last a day or two. The longest is eight days. A very arousing scent will release from the she-wolf and cause all the unmated male wolves around her to be attracted to it as well. Beware, the she-wolves going through heat will experience a excruciating pain all over their body and have a bizarre personality change every once in a while.

I looked around me and all I could see were unmated male wolves starting to approach us. They had the look of lust inside their eyes. "Uh, Mai, we should probably leave." "My body hurts... It freaking hurts Bryant! Ughh.."

I literally started to panic. What kind of man was I? I couldn't even support my girlfriend. So I just picked her up bridal style and ran. Once we were in our house I collasped on the couch. After a while, Mai came up to me and started touching me seductively. "BryBry....." She bit her lip and gave me puppy dog eyes that were so adorable I couldn't resist kissing her. What was this girl doing to me?

"Mai..calm down please." I was already breathless and her scent was making me lose myself.

 "Wahhh......... BryBry doesn't love me!! HE DOESN'T LOVE MEEE" Mai started crying fiercely and screaming like a little girl. Why is this happening to me....... 

2 days later.

I actually survived the phenomena of Mai's heat. The house was a mess and I had installed a locking system in my bedroom which consists of a chair and a very sturdy doorknob lathered in sticky stuff. That way it would be hard for Mai to turn the door knob and neither of us could get in/out. She kept wailing "BryBry........BryBry!!!OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW BEFORE I CRASH IN THERE AND BEAT YOUR ASS!" I did not like this.. But somehow I survived and so I'm happy.

When I laid in my bed with Mai next to me I remembered the first time we made love.

The day that Mai told me that she loved me was the day. "I-I love you Bryant. We have spent so many weeks together and in that time I fell in love with you. WIth your smile, your eyes, everything." "Mai, I love you too. Ever since I laid my eyes on your beautiful self. I have known you for a while, but I can already tell that you will be the only one in my life for me."

We looked at each other for a while before I made the first move and kissed her. We made our way to the bedroom without sepreating ourselves. Then it just happened.... :)
