Being in Riverdale had opened my eyes in more ways than one.

With the alarm blaring, I gently picked up my phone and turned it off to be greeted with a good morning message from Jughead.

After being kidnapped and all, he was completely obsessed with me. I didn't mind one bit because I was the same with him.

Jughead: Good morning ❤️ It's prom day!

Me: I know! :) So are we still on for Pops after prom?

Jughead: Of course?? What kind of question is that?

We conversed for a little while until I smelled a fresh breakfast downstairs. The scent of bacon and eggs danced around my nose, luring me out into the kitchen.

I was met with my mom cooking, and my dad at the table reading the paper, per usual.

I made it downstairs, and they both turned in alarm. Being starved for five days made me drop weight; so much that I made no noise walking downstairs. I was like a ninja.

"Oh!" My Mom gasped before smiling. "Good morning, prom queen!"

I rolled my eyes. "Please. There are way more popular couples than me and Jughead."

"I don't know, sweetheart," my dad commented. "You might get a sympathy vote."

I laughed and shook my head before taking a seat across from my dad. Mom brought over a plate of the delicious hearty breakfast.

As soon as I took my first bite, my dad said: "We have to talk."

I stopped eating, scared. The tone of voice sounded serious.

"Oh, keep eating, honey," my mom took my shoulders. "It's nothing bad. In fact, it might be good."

"That sounds... vague," I looked at the two of them.

My mom took a seat beside my dad, who set down his newspaper.

I chewed slowly, suspicious of what they were going to talk to me about.

The two looked at each other with concerned stares before turning back to me.

"Now, this is completely up to you," my mom began. "We have enough money and it's for you."

"What's for me?"

My dad cleared his throat and fixed his glasses. "We were thinking about moving from Riverdale."

I dropped my fork, feeling my skin turn paler.

"Well, after everything that happened we weren't sure if you wanted a fresh start or not. There's so much that's been going on in Riverdale. It's not the same as it was when we were younger," my mom placed a hand on my dad's shoulder, which he nodded in agreement.
