ELENA FOUND JEREMY'S BODY IN THE CAVE. "Jeremy!" she yelled before rushing over to him. "Oh, no. No. No. Oh god, no," she shook her head holding his body in her arms, talking frantically and crying. She saw that he was wearing a Gilbert ring before sighing. "It's fine. It's fine. You're gonna be okay. The ring will bring you back. It's okay. It's okay. You're gonna be okay. You're gonna be fine, Jeremy."
Holden and Stefan both walked inside to see the view before Holden looked at Stefan in shock.
Later on, outside the cave, the three Salvatores were speaking with each other as Elena was still in the cave with Jeremy's body, hoping that he would wake up. "How'd this happen?" Damon questioned with a small frown.
"It was Katherine. She must have been following us this whole time," Stefan sneered lowly as Holden looked down, knowing that Elena lost her brother. And that she wouldn't deal with it.
Damon glanced at Holden. "What about the cure, or Silas?"
Holden licked his lips in frustration. "If there was anything in there at all, it's already gone," he mused in disappointment so Damon's face fell.
"Where the hell is Bonnie?" Damon then snapped but the younger one's couldn't answer that.
"We have no idea. She went looking for Jeremy last night. She never came back," Stefan mused as he glanced at Holden. "Holden, Elena is in there waiting for the Gilbert ring to bring Jeremy back to life."
Holden's face fell even more as he nodded his head. "I know that."
"Well, I don't," Damon shrugged in annoyance as he wanted to walk and check for himself but Stefan put up a hand to stop him.
"Damon, Jeremy was one of the Five," Holden told him quietly causing Damon to realize as he stared at Holden. Even if he said he hated Jeremy, that was far away from the truth.
"He's supernatural. The ring won't work anymore," Damon said so both younger ones nodded with sadness on their faces.
"Elena won't survive this," Holden whispered, his heart aching for the girl that he loved so much.
Damon sighed deeply. "I'll find Bonnie. I need you two to get Elena off of this island, okay?" he mused before walking away, not letting Stefan or Holden help him.
