Chapter 2 - New Player

Natsu's P.O.V

As I finished the fire, I walked back to the other's just in time to see the new guy, Sting, wink at Lucy.

Winked.

At.

My.

Best.

Friend!

For one, that's weird! He just now met her! And secondly, it wasn't even a friendly wink! It was more of a sly one. One that meant trouble. I couldn't take that look. I looked over at Lucy to see if she noticed, but she was back to whipping the frosting.

"Natsu! Can you get the door?! I think they're here!" Mira called as she finished the last of the dishes.

"Yeah! I'll get it!" I called back, walking to the door and opening it to the crowd of the team. They didn't even wait for me to move, they just ran in and made themselves at home. It didn't take long for them to notice Sting though. 

"Who's this guy?" Gajeel pointed out. 

"Yeah. He's not part of our team, or any that we've seen!" Gray said, taking some food from Mira as she walked by.

"That's because he's new! Meet your new teammate!" Mira said happily!

Wait... WHAT?! I yelled in my head as I processed what she had said. I looked at the team, and they all welcomed Sting with open arms. I walked away into the kitchen where Lucy was still cleaning up.

"You don't like him, do you?" She asked as if she could read my mind.

"I would've been fine if he didn't make that sly move." I pouted as I leaned against the wall, crossing my arms.

"It's called being friendly. Besides, it shouldn't phase you. You know that I get that from a lot of other guys. It's what I get for being well known and popular." She sighed, washing her hands, but quickly finding another thing to do.

"You're avoiding the crowd aren't you? You know these guys don't care about your popularity." I smirked as she froze, surprised that I saw right through her.

"Hehe... You caught me red handed." She laughed.

"Sorry, I guess I can come out an enjoy the party. But if you guys get drunk then I'm leaving."

"Dually noted. Now come on! Let's go beat Gray at building a fort!" I said, running back to the others and remembering his childish I was.
