Confusion and anxiety kicks in.
"Come on... He's totally into you. ya know Neil ." Nikki peeves on.
What we only just met less than an hour ago "Well I don't know yet. I can tell but can't tell." Dad goes on the explain the activity which was to name and line up all the planets of the solar system and give 3 facts about each easy. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Planet Nine (AKA my sweet blue bean Pluto). Surprisingly we were the first pair done (i did all the work while Nikki asked questions). Space kid got second cause he didn't include Pluto, him and Neil argued for 10 minutes on whether it was a planet or not. "good job sweetheart you guys can go to the lake for a bit." I think he knew i would breeze through this "we'll meet up with you there."
~end of the day~
I laid in dad's bed thinking. They're joshing me , yeah there's no way that Neil likes me- my thoughts were interrupted by giggling and sshing "Shh we can't wake up David! Damn shut up." I heard Max whisper yell
I sleepily roll out of the bed going to the window. Max, Neil,and Nikki were walking towards the deep woods. Curiosity takes over so I grab a jacket and shoes trying to catch up with them unknowingly. "Shh.. some ones following us." Shit shit shit..... I quickly hide behind a tree holding my breath "it's nothing quit being so paranoid" they continue walking and talking. I let go if the breath I was holding and followed then.....then.....A FUCKING BRANCH CRACKED UNDER MY FOOT!!! I didn't have time to hide so I stood there terrified. "I told you someone was fucking following us!" Max turned towards neil then back at me again looking pissed. He grabbed me by the throat holding me up "What did David send you to snitch huh you fucking bitch." ~ "Jesus Max let her go." Neil fought me out of Max's tight grip, I roughly flopped to the ground coughing. "I'm taking her back she's probably lost any ways and so she won't tell David."
We walk in silence. Niel was the one to break the uncomfortable silence.
"I'm sorry. Max is a huge dick sometimes," His eyes look deep into mine as he continued his apology. "It's my fault I was being nosy."
I kept my head down, avoiding eye contact.
"I'll make sure it never happens again.."
We make it to the campsite and we just kinda stand there. His eyes traveled from mine to my lips then turning deep red. "Uh, so yeah I-ill see you in the morning." He stammered scurrying off somewhere. I creep back into the can in hope Dad doesn't wake up. I fall on to the bed falling into a soft sleep.
~Max POV~
I choked her....I fucking choked her. I was freaking out as me and Nikki to walk through the thick woods. "You ok Max? Your as red as a berry."
I brush her comment off still thinking about y/n. As we continue to walk through the thick forest "Hey! Max! You know that Neil likes new-er y/n!"
Wait what! "Pfft it's not like they'll ever talk to each other they're both anti-social idiots." She giggles.
~Next Morning~
The sick croak of the roaster woke me up, "ugh Fuckin-" I stop myself slowly opening my eyes slowly. Oh thank God he's not here.
Slipping out of bed and going to the bathroom. "Jeez I look a me-" I notice my neck was red. Knowing how brusing works from always falling down the stairs its going to blueis purple in a couple hours. Maybe if I take a cold shower it might go away. I continue to look at my messy bed head. "UGHHHHH!" I throw myself in the shower. The cold droplets run down my body making me cringe and shiver, making sure the water hits my neck and hair with soap.
After i was dressed i looked back at my neck. Fuck ill just put on a sweater.
I go to the cafeteria and sit back where i was before. Some kids like Nerris, Ered, Dolph,Harrison ,and Space kid. Slowly chewing on the food the qautermaster made.I think the qautermaster is the colest thing i have to a friend here. He got me McDondals for dinner last night with some chocolate. Either that or hes a perv but I doubt it. "Hey y/n can I eat with you!" A smiling harrison appears with his tiny top hat. "Sure" we kind of eat in silence till "hey want to see a magic trick!" i nod slowly scared Dad told me he made his brother disappear. He starts to rumage thorugh his pockets. " I don't think y/n has time for your Magic bullshit." I whip my head to see Neil towering over me.
"W-well, I kinda want to see it..." I softly whisper
"Yeah! She wants to see it, so buzz off"~ Harrison spun around to face me and grinned." Let's see.. you deserve more than a simple card trick. Pick an animal. A small one." he said pulling off his hat.
"A squirrel!" I chirp happily.
He winks and digs in his hat while Neil watched pouting. Then he did it. A petite, cute squirrel hopped out of the hat.
"TA-DA!" He added with a quick wink and smile.
The animal seemed calm until it spotted Neil. It lost it, attacking me and Neil. Ripping my hoodie and scratching Neil, then scurrying away. I looked over at Neil and a small gasp escaped my throat.
"Oh jeez! Neil- oh shit. Uh, c-come on David wont be here for a while so I'll clean you up..."
