~Neil's Pov~
We get to David's cabin and she checks out my face. Well more like checking out the cuts. And she's touching me. A girl is actually touching ME!
I held my breath before I said something idiotic. A minute later she moves away and I softly exhale. She looked down at her shredded clothing and shakes her head.
"There.. Now I need a new hoodie.. " she mutters to herself, making her way towards the closet and rummaging through her bag.
A quick minute later, she pulls back and holds a Galaxy-blue designed hoodie. She turns away and begins to remove the hoodie she's currently wearing.
Then I see it. Its pretty damn hard to miss.
She has a bruise on her neck. It's a purple-ish blue and looks like its been nothing but painful.
Why is Max such a dick?
"Does it hurt?" I whispered in low tone, but loud enough for her to hear.
She turns to me with a scared face expression, rushing towards me and pressing her cold finger on my lips.
"What?! Oh no no no! Please don't tell anyone! Especially not David" Her plea is accompanied by her panicked tone. Her eyes widened and looking around frantically.
She looked... panicked. I felt my heart sink a little. I wanted to help but I just couldn't force myself to do anything.
All I could do was nod.
She removed her finger and headed for the door. "Come on, lets head back. David's going to be coming back soon." She glanced over her shoulder at me and opened the door.
And with that, we left.

~Y/n's POV~
Lunch had started and I sat in my usual place...in the back, away from everyone. And doing what I do best. Beating myself up.
'Damn it! I was so focused on finding a damn hoodie, that I forgot a whole person was there!'
I tried to forget the conversation between me and Neil. But the anxiety said otherwise.
'What if he tells someone?! I barely know the guy! And he didn't even respond! What if it spreads to David?!
God, why did I even fucking bother waking up? I'm such a dumba-'
I shook the thoughts away and snuck a quick look at Neil. He sat across from Max and by Nikki, who seemed to be rambling nonsense at the two males.
He looked kind of pale.
Maybe he didn't expect Max to leave a fucking bruise on my neck.
He was looking at the table as if it told the most interesting story he'd ever seen.
He glanced up and caught my eyes. He gave me a small, subtle smile.
I gave him my best forced smile. And then Max glanced over his shoulder at me. Neil's smile vanished and he quickly turned and pretended to listen to the hyperactive girl.
He looked between me and Neil and went back to listening to Nikki.
I let out a inaudible breath of relief.
'Fuck this shit.' I walk out of the cafeteria and to the campfire and just test my luck I run into Dad "Ah! Dad?!" He smiles with concern "y/n sweetie what are you doing i haven't picked you and the campers yet?"~"well I uh" he sighs putting his slender fingers on my shoulder "Still nervous they're not going to hurt you" Nikki screams and growls from the distance "most of them... don't be a stranger I'm pretty sure they love you now show me that camp Campbell sprit!" His enthusiasm is going to be the death of me. We go back to the cafeteria and I sit down snuggled in my hoodie even tho it's 76 degrees out side but I gotta make sure Max doesn't get in trouble... why am I helping him he could have killed me... then I look at those aquamarine eyes, ok maybe I shouldn't tell David. There was a strong vibration against my belly my phone!
Dan: Hey sweetheart want to go to the movies or something tonite ;)
Y/n: uh I can't I'm at camp...
Dan: Camp aren't you a little to old for camp
Y/n: Maybe
Dan: what camp are you at
Y/n: Camp Campbell
Dan: My dad used to be a counselor.. then an accident happened
Y/n: wah...?
~Neil's POV~
Nikki, Max and I have been talking about y/n.. I mean asking her out. I know this is really fast but I want to make a relationship with her. A real one.
"S-should I do it?" I thought my whisper was barely audible but Max seemed to have heard it loud and clear.
" Pft, she's going to say 'no', Neil. She's a complete loser Neil. Your a borderline loser. Don't go under that fucking line." Max pouts and Nikki starts a new conversation.
'I'm going to do it tomorrow. '
