A frown was held on my face as I sweeped the Floor, Looking around at the other Happy kids laughing and running around outside, On the street. I couldn't help but Envy these Kids that didn't have to go through what I go through Everyday.

I watched as They took their mothers hands, smiling up at Them with Happiness clear in their eyes. I looked down at the Floor, sadly. I've never had the chance to experience the Love every child should feel once in their childhood.

All my life, No one has ever held my hand like that or Smiled at me with such adoration. The only thing I got from the people around me was disgusted glances and Sharp glares, full of hatred.

They all said that My mother was a Horrible person.

And Even though I've never met my Mother, I know that she was an amazing, strong person. The only thing Horrible here Is the people in it. They Tear your Hope down, and They make sure you know that they're better than you.

As My eyes gazed outside, I started singing softly.

'There is a castle on a cloud
I like to go there in my sleep
Aren't any floors for me to sweep
Not in my castle on a cloud

There is a lady all in white
Holds me and sings a lullaby
She's nice to see and she's
soft to touch

She says Hazel, I love you very much

There is a room that's full of toys.
There are a hundred boys and girls.
Nobody shouts or talks too loud,
Not in my castle on a cloud..'

All of a sudden, I hear The loud bang of the Door and straight away, I close my mouth. I pretend to continue sweeping, Like nothing happened.

"Hazel!" I hear the Master, Madame Thenadier, Yell at me.

"Stop with your singing, You sound like a Dying Elephant. Now, Go back to work!" She yelled at me, Her sharp gaze burning through me.

"Sorry, Madame." I whispered pathetically. I looked down at my old, Torn boots and Continued cleaning the floor.

I hear her Loud footsteps, which was a sign that she left the room.

"Don't listen to Her, Your voice is beautiful."

I Jump in fright at the Voice, turning around. My eyes caught with beautiful Forest green ones. He smiled softly at me, reaching his hand out.

"Hi, I'm Harry. What might your name be, Mademoiselle?" He said, still Holding his Hand out.

"H-Hazel." I stuttered, Taking his hand in mine and shaking it.

"You have a Very beautiful voice, Hazel." He smiled. I Blushed, Looking down.

"Thankyou, Harry." I said.

This is the Kindest anyone has ever been to me.

"You work here?" He asked me, After a small while of Me just gaping at Him. I've never seen him around before, and that's understandable since its rare to find nice people around here. Especially to people like me.

"Yea-yeah. I clean." I nodded.

"You? Someone as beautiful as you shouldn't be treated this way." He Said, surprised.

I was shocked. Me? Beautiful? I don't think so.

"No one has ever called me beautiful." I whispered more to myself, barely audible. But nevertheless, He heard me.

"That's highly surprising." He said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Thankyou, you're very kind." I said, my voice very small and weak compared to his. I look down, In embarrassment.

"It's very rare to find people who appreciate small actions like these, now days." He chuckled, sparing a glance outside the window.

"That's because some people never really had the chance to experience what it feels like to be treated with kindness." I said, shrugging.

"That song was really sad." He said, out of nowhere.

I nodded, not really knowing what to say to that.

"Did you write it, Hazel?" He asked. I smiled, Nodding.

"Yes. I write songs in my free time."

"That's surprising, How old are you?" He asked, looking very impressed.

"I'm ten years old." I admitted.

"How about you?" I asked Him. He must be only a few years older than me.

"I'm Twelve." He smiled.

"Hazel! Did you finish-" Madame Thandier Said coming in, But stopped mid-sentence when she saw Harry standing next to me.

"Harry!" She smiled, rushing over to Him.

"I see you have met Hazel. She's one of our cleaners." She said, Disgust clear in her tone.

"Come on, Little man. I want you to meet my daughter, Eponine." She said, walking him over to the door.

"And you, you little brat! Finish up and start cleaning the windows." She yelled, before walking out.

Harry stopped after she left, giving me a small smile,  which wasn't exactly a Happy one.

"It was nice meeting you, Mademoiselle." He said, And walked out, Following after The Madame.

"You too, Harry." I whispered after him.

I looked out the window, seeing Miss Eponine walk out of the Car.

I watched as the Kids around her Smiled over at her, Greeting her and crowding all around her.

I wish I was loved like that.

'I know a place where no one's lost,

I know a place where no one cries,
Crying at all is not allowed,

..Not in my castle on a cloud.'
