Jongin woke up that morning with a man snoring next to him. Startled, he rolled away from him.

Chanyeol was bigger than Jongin, and dirty, too. He had a faint smell of grass, dirt and blood, and his dark brown hair was in messy knots. God, he's filthy.

He was going to get up and leave, but his instints told him otherwise. His wolf was telling him to stay with Chanyeol, always, never leaving that wolf behind. He felt an undeniable attachment to him, and his wolf roared at him to take care of him. Jongin didn't know what this was, and it scared him that he had an extreme attachment to this wolf so quickly.

He swallowed, uncomfortable with the sudden intensity.

Chanyeol stirred a little, yawning and waking up. He took one glance at Jongin and said, "Are you leaving now?"

Jongin glanced at him, "Yeah," He said. "I better head back."

"To where? The same home where you probably got kicked out?" That question stung. "You clearly can't fit into their world, so stop trying."

Jongin turned around. "That's not-"

Chanyeol sat up, laughing. "I've only know you for a few hours and I can already tell you ass kiss humans."

"I don't kiss up to them." Jongin said, censoring himself. "I just live with them. What do you want me to do?"

"You can't live with them if you kill them. That's not how it works." He got up, a sudden small rage burning in his eyes. "They hate you, Jongin. No matter how much you lie in their face and pretend you're a damn human, they'll always find out. And when they do," He laughed darkly. "They'll do anything they can to kill you."

That's not true... Jongin was afraid to ask why Chanyeol was so aggressive towards humans. Maybe something happened to him in the past. "Not all humans hate us. I promise."

Chanyeol gave a wicked smile. "Okay then," He walked to Jongin, arms crossed over his bare chest. "Go right into that damn city and scream, 'Hey, I'm a werewolf!' and watch how many people bust your ass."

"Chanyeol, it's not that simple." Jongin said quietly shifting his hands in his pockets. He refused to admit that Chanyeol was right, even though his argument was convincing. "Humans aren't that simple. They feel and do things we don't get, just like we feel and do things they don't understand. We're different, and they fear that. They like to surround themselves with familiar things and people that make sense to...them..."

Oh shit. Jongin felt like an idiot.

"What?" Chanyeol waved a hand in his face. "Figured it out, smartass?"

"Chanyeol, listen." Jongin couldn't stop smiling. It's like his eyes truly opened up to Jongdae's world. He wanted to do cartwheels all the way back to his brother's apartment. "I just realized something, and it's really important, I have to go. I'll come back, I promise."

He bolts in the opposite direction, leaving Chanyeol confused and rolling his eyes.

"He is so weird." He said to himself. "But, he is nice to have around."

Better than that demon and his vampire sidekick.
