Dan's POV:
Matt's phone started ringing. "Hey mum. Okay. Other people? An alliance. A rebellion? Yea, he's coming too. Mum, you're barely letting me get a word in. Alright, we'll be there. Bye," she said. "Come on Dan," Matt added.
We got into her car as she started it up. "What about Phil?" I asked. All Matt did was shrug her shoulders. "If I come back and the apartment's on fire I'm blaming you," I said. Matt giggled, then had a look of hatred on her face. A Muse song came on the radio, and I of course had to sing along.
"The paranoia, is in bloom, the PR, the transmissions will resume, they'll try to push drugs," I sang. But there was something different about my voice. Oh my god I could sing. "I didn't know you listened to Muse. And I didn't know you could sing," Matt said with a smirk on her face. "I didn't know I could sing either, and I love Muse," I replied. The rest of the car ride was silent, apart from the radio.
The car pulled up at the side of the meadow. "What does your mum want?" I asked Matt as we walked to the cliff side. "Something about an alliance," she replied. As I crawled through the entrance, I could here talking. "Hello Matt. Hi Dan," Matt's mum said when I walked to a small group of people.
Sitting on a massive slab of stone was a girl with glasses and dark blonde hair, a boy with black tousled hair, a boy with light brown hair and glasses, and a girl with ombre hair. "Matt, Dan, this is Becky, Lucian, Riley, and Cassie. Guys, this is my daughter Matt and her friend Dan," Matt's mum said. All I did was keep my jaw tight. I'm sure I looked naturally intimidating now.
Matt was doing the same. She sat down on the sand, while I just debated on standing or sitting. I chose sitting. I noticed the ombre girl, Cassie, staring at me with flirty eyes. Well, I have Matt so that's not happening. "Why don't you guys get to know each other," said Matt's mum. Cassie scooted closer to me, while Matt was talking about tech things with Riley, Becky, and Lucian.
"I like your hair," Becky said to Matt. Wow, it was amazing how fast she could get compliments. Becky and Matt were really chatting it up. "Your eyes are cool," Cassie whispered in my ear, making me lean away from her. "You know what sucks? Muse. Muse is so emo and crappy. Justin Bieber is much better. And Big Time Rush, wouldn't you agree? I also hate Paramore and Panic! At The Disco. Now you have to admit that P!ATD is horrible," she said. Oh heeeeeeeeeeelllllllllll no. You mess with Muse, you mess with me.
"I love Muse and Panic! At The Disco. But I really hate Big Time Rush," I replied. "Oh, then, um, I'm just joking I love Muse," Cassie said. Is this girl for real?! "Name a song by them then," I said with a malicous smile. "Um, that one that's like......um....like that one....you know.....it's like duh duh duh," she replied. I decided to do another test. "You mean Someone Like you?" I asked. "Yes, that one. It's their best song!" she yelled. I have officially ruled her off as stupid. "Yea, that's a song by Adele, incase you didn't know," I replied.
Cassie kept on trying to flirt with me and touch me. That came out wrong, but whatever. "Hey Matt," I said while sitting next to my, um, girlfriend? She smiled at me. Becky and Lucian waved at me and said hi. Riley smiled at me. "Let me guess. Cassie was flirting with you and copying your every move such as running your hand through your hair, yawning, and pretending to like everything you like?" Becky asked. "How did you know?" I responded. "She does it with almost every guy she meets. It's ridiculous," she told me.
We all continued chatting, and I learned Matt's mothers name was Lili. I turned around to see Cassie looking over the lake with frustration. She turned to look at me, then gave me a seductive look. I scoffed, rolled my eyes, and turned back around. I didn't know I could be so tough. Maybe it was a good thing. All I knew was that I didn't want Cassie as my girlfriend.
I had Matt in my life.
And that's the way it's gonna stay.
A/N:
Wassup MoFo's. I'm sorry for not updating, but you should know I had a terrible case of writers block. But finally an idea came to me. So there ya go. And my 'under the bed' trick worked. I asked my sister earlier today where my computer was, and she responded and I quote, "you don't have a computer" YES, SHE NO LONGER TOUCHES MY LAPTOP!!!!!! Well, those are all the words for now.
Bye MoFo's
Question/Lyric of the Day:
What would you do if somebody greatly insulted your favorite band/singer?
"This, is your heart, can you feel it, can you feel it?"
