"Hey Brooklyn, Jenna Alex! Come on in!" Steve said answering the door and gesturing for us to come in, I stepped inside.
"You look great." Steve said leaning in to whisper in my ear. I blushed.
"Thanks, so do you." I mumbled looking down.
"Awe, don't look down." He said lifting my head up higher.
"Sorry I'm just a little insecure around a lot of people."
"Don't know what for!" He scoffed. "You were turning heads when you walked through the door.!" (A/N: 1D moment there, I actually don't even like one direction, I know - directioners- kill me now.)
"Thanks," I said blushing again.
"Let me go get you a drink." He said walking to the kitchen, I followed him. Once I got in there, I saw the most horrible sight. Adam making out with the slut Emily. I almost choked on my own spit. Apparently Adam heard me.
"Brooklyn," he whispered, sort of in awe, "what are you doing here?!" He said, his eyes angry.
"She came with me." Steve said draping his arm of my shoulders and planting a Kiss on my cheek. This made Adam even madder.
"What?!" He roared, that made me angry.
" you have no right to get mad." I said in a harsh tone. "You were the one who was just sucking faces with the little Whore Emily."
"Hey!" The slut yelled in the middle of things, everyone ignored her, however I did give her a little glare.
"Ooh, I see, you are jealous" I rolled my eyes, jealous, I think not.
" No! Of course not! I'm here with Steve, he's all I need." I scoff, scooting my head into the crook of Steve's neck. I see hurt flash across his eyes before it slips away and the same guarded expression that's always on his eyes is there once again.
"Fine then." He says and turns back to Emily to start sucking on her face once again. I turned around with Steve and walked into the living room to start dancing. I wasn't going to let Adam and his stupid whore bother me tonight, this was my night, he was not going to ruin it.
(Adams POV)
Now I know why I feel so attracted towards a human.
It's because she's my mate.
This is not good. Not good at all. No wonder why I feel so possessive over her. No wonder I can't be away from her without being either depressed or drunk. No wonder...
I realized I was still kissing Emily, god how could I kiss another person when I had a mate? Especially when it was someone as disgusting as Emily. God, I'm so confused!
"Emily stop." I said to her.
"What? Again? Why?" She whined
"Because I said to." I said calmly.
"Is it because of that stupid human girl? Brookshit or whatever her name is? Because she is a human, she has no chance with you whatsoever. Unless you want to get kicked out of the pack. But you can be with me," she said narrowing her eyes. I scoffed.
"Yeah right, be with you? Your a whore Emily. I don't even know why I kiss you, because i DONT like you! And I never will!" I practically screamed at her. She looked absolutely mortified.
"That's it, now I'm definitely telling the council and Alpha." I gaped at her.
"You wouldn't."
"Oh yes I would. Now you better get your little human and run, before your brothers hunt you down and kick you out of the pack. Because you know what they do to the mate that's a human, remember Sally?" I gulped. I did remember Sally. Oh no, of Emliy was really gonna tell the Council and Alpha then I had to get Brook and run like the wind. I shot Emily a glare before running into the living room. Once I got in there I saw her grinding against Steve. I ran up to her.
"Brooklyn, we need to go, now." I said with urgency in my voice.
"No! I'm having a good time! I want to stay! You are not my dad!" She yelled at me, I knew she was mad, but we needed to go, now, before something bad happened to her. So I grabbed her waist and threw her over my shoulder and ran out. Steve was drunk so he didn't even notice, but Brook sure did.
"HEY! PUT ME DOWN!" She screamed.
"I'm sorry Brook, we need to go, I'm sorry." I said running into the woods, Brooklyn was screaming. I set her down for a second and took her face in my hands.
"Brooklyn. There is things you don't know about me, I'm sorry, But when I turn, I'm going to take you and throw you on my back ok? You need to help me get you on my back ok?" I asked, she looked just as confused as I thought she would look.
"Just trust me." I said.
"Ok," she whispered. Then I started to form...
