(Brooklyn's POV)
"BROOK GET YOUR FAT ASS OVER HERE!"My dad yelled. I walked into the living room, shaking like a scared little girl.
"Ye-ye-yes dad?" I stutter.
"GRAB ME ANOTHER BEER NOW WILL YA!" He yells at me, even though I'm in the room and he obviously does not need to yell.
"Ok dad." I say going to the kitchen to grab his beer from the fridge. Then I go back to the living room and and it to him. He takes it and looks at me with the most calm expression I have seen all month.
"Brooklyn," Uh oh, he used my whole name, this can not be good.
"Yes?" I ask.
"How long was this beer in the fridge?" He asks, still calm.
"Well I put it in the fridge this morning when I woke up, so about 1 hour." I replied steadily, I was really getting better at talking to my dad when he was drunk! Good for me!
"One hour huh?" I nodded in response, "That explains why it's so WARM!!!" He exclaimed while grabbing my shirt, I wasn't feeling so confident anymore. "STOP GETTING ME WARM BEERS BROOKLYN!!! I WANT THEM COLD! YOU HEAR ME? COLD!!" He yelled I'm my face, and then he slapped me, you heard me correctly, slapped me, over a goddamn beer! It was hard to, I started to tear up.
"Aww, is the little Brooke crying?" My dad said, making fun of me, I turned my head and went to my room to get my stuff for school. I wanted to look nice-but comfy, so I put on some ripped jean shorts that went up to mid thigh, and a see through purple tank top with a white sleeveless tank under it, and my black vans. I put my hair in a high pony tail and called it a day. I slung my backpack over my shoulder and headed out the door. I hesitated before I opened it because I wanted to see if my dad remembered it was the first say to say bye. But of course he didn't remember. So I just opened the door and stepped out.🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
