It's weird. I always thought that he was the one. That he was it. That he would be the one to always make me smile. Make sure I was always happy.
But I guess things change. Because he did.
"I am sick of you!" I yelled, glaring at my boyfriend, throwing my hands in the air in exasperation.
"Well I'm not that happy with you either!" he yelled back. My boyfriend, John Holgado, of Attack Attack! and I, were arguing.
I was sick of him. Him and his behavior. He acted so rude to me in the presence of others, but he was so sweet to me when we were alone, and I was sick of it.
"Why can't you treat me like that when we're with your friends?!" I screamed at him. He scoffed at me, anger apparent in his dark eyes.
"Because!" he screamed back. I narrowed my own green eyes.
"If you don't treat me right around your friends, then what guarantees you'll ever treat me like you should?!" I added, getting up in his face.
He smirked. "It's not like you would leave me." he whispered, placing his lips on mine softly. I pushed him off.
"Stay the hell away from me." I spat, really angry now.
John continued to smirk.
I had reached my breaking point. I was tired of him treating me the way he did, and the way he played it down like it was nothing.
I slapped his cheek. Hard.
He bent over in pain from my wicked hit. He looked up at me from his position.
"You're going to pay for that!" he said through gritted teeth.
I didn't back down. "Goodbye, John. Unless you can pull your act together, we're done." I said, storming out of the bus and slamming the door.
The rest of his band looked at me awkwardly.
I shot them a fake smile and rushed over to my own bus, also slamming the door as I went in. Shayley was sitting in the front part, and jumped when he heard the door slam.
I screamed out in anger. Shayley cringed as I jumped onto my bunk and screamed again into the pillow.
"Mary?" I heard outside my bunk. I pulled back the flimsy curtain and saw Alan standing there, concern in his light eyes.
I gave him a fake smile. "Yes?" I asked.
"Are you okay?"
"Fine."
"Did you have another fight with John?"
Tears burned the rims of my eyes as I nodded slowly.
"Oh, Mary." he said, sighing. I scooted over and he got into my bunk, hugging me. I started to sob painfully.
"He doesn't deserve a girl like you, Mary." Alan said, doing his best to comfort my sad body as I sobbed.
I looked up at him and smiled. A real smile this time.

The next morning I was still in Alan's arms. We must have fallen asleep when he was hugging me.
He looked so perfect, his bright hair falling over his closed eyes. He snored slightly. He looked so cute.
'No, stop it. You're dating John.' I told myself, crawling out of the bunk.
I shook Alan's shoulder lightly. "Alan, wake up." I whispered.
He lazily opened his eyes. "Morning, Mary." he said with a yawn.
I smiled at him and glanced around the bus. Everyone else was asleep. Good.
Alan crawled out of my bunk and crawled into his own, falling on his face and falling fast asleep once again.
I rolled my eyes and chuckled.

The day was winding down. I hadn't seen John at all today, and I was enjoying it. I leaned back in my chair, soaking up the hot sun, when I heard someone sit beside me in the other chair.
I opened one eye, peeking over there, seeing my friend Keygan.
"Hey." she said, quietly.
"Hey." I replied.
"I heard you got into a fight with John last night."
I shrugged. "Yeah." I replied, trying to downplay it.
She sighed. "You should dump him."
"I know." I chuckled.
She looked over at me, her glasses reflecting the sunlight.
"I'm being serious. Besides, I know someone else who likes you." she added.
"Who?" I asked, interested.
She smirked. "Why should I tell you?"
"Please?" I begged.
"Fine. It's our ginger friend. Little Alan Ashby." she said, smiling.
My jaw dropped. "Whatever!"
"It's true." she said, winking, standing up and walking back to her bus.
I pondered her words as she walked off. I kinda did like Alan, and I really DID need to leave John.
I sighed to myself, then I got an idea.
*~*~*~*
Party-time. A huge party. This time Asking Alexandria was hosting it.
I went with the guys instead of John. I was so getting payback tonight.
I had told all the guys about my plan, and they had agreed to help me. This was going to be amazing.
I brought my cup to my lips, taking a sip of Coke.
I looked around the room as I did so, and I spotted John in the corner. He was looking over at me. I smirked inwardly. He was going to get what was coming to him.
"We are officially taking requests!" the DJ announced, talking into the microphone.
Tino sighed, "You sure you wanna do this, Mary?" he asked.
I nodded, handing him my cup and walking up to the DJ table.
He leaned down, smiling at me. "What song you want me to play, little lady?" he asked.
"I want you to play "If You Can't Hang" by Sleeping With Sirens." I said.
"Okay, do you want me to dedicate it to anyone with a special message?" he asked, winking.
I smirked. "Yes, dedicate it to John, and the message is..." I said while I thought of a good message. "The message is, 'I'm not hanging, so there's the door." I said, cleverly.
The DJ nodded, pushing a button on the giant music set.
I nodded to thank him and turned, heading back to my friends.
"This is to John, and the message is, "I'm not hanging, so there's the door." the DJ read off his card, playing the song.
When John heard it, he rushed over to where I was standing. He looked pissed.
"What the hell does that mean?" he yelled.
I smirked. "We're over." I said, turning on my heel and walking away, leaving an angry John Holgado staring after me.
Alan approached me soon after the song. "So... Does that mean you're free tomorrow night?" he asked, blushing.
I let out a chuckle. "Keygan told me you liked me." I said.
He cursed silently.
"But I want you to know, I've always had a little crush on you." I said, winking.
He smiled, sitting down beside me.
He leaned in slowly and kissed me gently. "I really like you, Mary. Will you go on a date with me?" he asked.
"Of course." I said, before pulling his lips back to mine.
